Saturday 9...

Thanks to Crazy Sam for today's nine questions!  You can join in HERE!

Wildest Dreams

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love to answer the questions, however, and here is today's questions!

Saturday 9: Wildest Dreams (2014)

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) In this song, a tall, handsome man asks Taylor Swift to drive away with him to escape the crowds. Where were you headed when you most recently got behind the wheel?  Home from work, with a stop for gasoline.

2) She sings about memories of a romance that just "follow you around." Is anyone special on your mind this morning? (It doesn't have to be a romantic partner.)  I'm writing this on Friday evening.  My sister is on my mind this evening, thinking ahead to Christmas and glad she is able to be here again this year!

3) The lyrics reference sunset. Now that it gets dark earlier, do you find yourself watching the sun set more often?  I can't really see the sunset from my living room, where I usually am when the sun disappears just before 6:00 pm.

4) The video for this song takes place on a movie set. Swift said it was inspired by tales of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton embarking on a love affair while co-starring in Cleopatra. Elizabeth and Richard fell in love in Rome, while this video was filmed outside of Gaborone, Botswana. In your wildest dreams, which of these exotic locales would you rather visit: Rome or Gaborone?  I've been to Rome so I'll say Gaborone.

5) In homage to Elizabeth Taylor, Swift went from blonde to brunette for the video. Do you have an appointment with a stylist between now and year end?  I will see my barber (yes, Teena is a barber) next Saturday, the 16th.

6) Both Taylors (Swift and Elizabeth) often wore the color purple. What color dominates your wardrobe?  Probably black and/or navy (jeans).

7) In the video, Taylor Swift's leading man is Scott Eastwood, son of Clint. Though not as famous as his dad, Scott works steadily and has more than 30 TV and movie credits. Can you think of another second-generation performer who followed his or her parent into show business?  Liza Minnelli and Lorna Luft (Liz's daughters).

8) In 2014, when "Wildest Dreams" topped the charts, Paul McCartney had to reschedule tour dates so he could recover from a bout with the flu. How are you feeling this morning? Any coughs, sneezes, sniffles?  I feel fine. No coughs, sneezes, or sniffles.  Thank goodness!

9) Random question: How many different zip codes have you lived in throughout your life?  Eleven, I think.  Five in Ohio, one in Maryland, three in Virginia, two in Florida.

Peace and Hugs!

Have a blessed weekend!
The SON is shining!

  1. Oh gosh, I can't begin to count the zip codes. That would take me all day. Seriously. Somewhere I do have a long list. "moving right along"...(pun intended), I am so glad your sister is coming to spend Christmas with you. That is really special. Oh, our "barber" and "beautician" are both retiring this month! The barber (lady) is moving away, and my beautician, who owns the shop, decided to retire and will close the shop. So now John and I both are looking for a new place to get our hair cut. Not a lot of good choices around here. We may become hippies and let it grow long. LOL. I'd like to see that happen to John! LOL. Anyway, I am not familiar with this song or video, but it has me curious, more to see Clint Eastwood's son than Taylor Swift. LOL. I hope your ham dinner at church is good today. I am making meatloaf for our
Agape luncheon at noon. Gotta get a move on for sure! Have a lovely day.

  3. Yay for sisters getting to be together for Christmas! I think I've only lived in 4 zip codes. She may be a barber, but she does a good job on your hair. I think it always looks nice in all your pictures. Have a great day Terri and now I think I'll go answer these questions.

  4. I'm so glad your sis will be joining you again! (Any chance you can talk her into moving to Mas Verde?) My own hair cut's scheduled for Wednesday, but I'm having second thoughts and may ask to be rescheduled. I hope you're loving this weekend!

  5. I suppose a barber has different training than a beautician, but I’m sure she knows what she’s doing.

  7. Our sunsets are usually quite spectacular. This year, not so much. Probably from lack of moisture. It's the sunlight filtering through the vapor that cause the rainbow of colors that really makes the sky vibrant. Yeah, I like to watch them a lot. I also try to get up in time to watch the sunrise. It's so pretty here. Peaceful.
    Fun post.
Hope your day was glorious. xx
