I only have one new photo for today's post. One of my small group members (from church) is a retired art teacher. She asked me if I would like one of her older paintings for my birthday. That was a "duh" question! Of course!! She does a lot of folk artsy things and this one is so fun!!
I love it and it is hanging in my living room proudly adding a fun pop of color to the room! And, of course, it is cats!!
I kicked my Christmas preparations into high gear. My cards are finally done and in the mail. The little bit of shopping I had to do is done. Amazon is delivering stuff daily this week. I'm waiting to do major cleaning until closer to time. I need to go to Sam's Club and Publix but am putting it off until next week. Of course, everyone is probably doing the same thing so it will be a zoo out there, but let's be jolly!!
I don't think I mentioned that I got a title change and an increase in pay at work! I am now a Staff Assistant rather than an Administrative Secretary. What I do is not secretarial, so staff assistant makes a lot more sense. The extra jingle in the pay check will be nice, as well. It's not much more but every little bit helps!

ReplyDeleteFirst, that's a fun painting and is perfect for you. Congrats on the raise and new title. I did my shopping on Wednesday for gifts. I had Amazon Wish Lists for everyone, which made it so easy! Like you, they are arriving at their proper locations all weekend and even some next week. I have 1 left to do, but it's just an Gift eCard and it goes by text or email, so I won't send that until just right before Christmas! Now, I can totally relax and enjoy the rest of the season!

That is fun! I loved getting your lovely card this week. I am slowly but surely getting mine out. Shopping is still something I am dealing with, but I know it will all come together on time. It always does. Hold on tight for some rain and windy weather this weekend! We need the rain, but I pray the storms won't be too severe. Take care and have a lovely weekend regardless!
