There isn't a linky and there aren't any rules.
Check out the dress and help her decide which purse to carry.
It's all for fun and just a whimsical thing!

A fun vintage (1950s?) holiday party look. She just needs a purse! Count down 1-2-3 and tell us which one you like best for the dress! It's all for fun and just a whimsical thing!
My thoughts: I had one of those slips that made my dress stand out like this one. They were itchy and not easy to sit down in. Maybe this redhead will just be dancing the night away. I am choosing #3 for her to carry. What are your thoughts? Thanks for joining in!!
Peace and Hugs!
Have a blessed day!
The SON is shining!!

I will take #1... I recall: A crinoline /ˈkrɪn.əl.ɪn/ is a stiff or structured petticoat designed to hold out a skirt, popular at various times since the mid-19th century. Originally, crinoline described a stiff fabric made of horsehair ("crin") and cotton or linen which was used to make underskirts and as a dress lining. The term crin or crinoline continues to be applied to a nylon stiffening tape used for interfacing and lining hemlines in the 21st century.
ReplyDeleteAnd then we soaked them in something to make them more stiff!
Potato starch!! Thank goodness stretch jeans can take me anywhere I want to go these days!! LOL
DeleteYES!! I was racking my brain!!! LOL
DeleteI can imagine those slips would be uncomfortable. Fun dress though - and I choose #3.
ReplyDeleteI read the comments about the slips - I never had one and I never knew about them. Very interesting. I am going with number 3. It would be vintage if she didn't have a tattoo on her leg - lol.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too. She is a modern model wearing a vintage dress...
DeleteI'd say #3.
ReplyDeleteYour Thursday posts are always such fun!
ReplyDeleteI like Purse #1, but feel #3 gives off a more '50's vibe.
I'll choose #1 today, Terri.
ReplyDeleteI like #3!
ReplyDeleteI think #1 goes best with the dress. I remember crinoline petticoats all too well. I loved the way they made me look, but boy were they scratchy.
ReplyDeleteI am a little late to the party! I love the color of that dress, and the best I can see #3 looks like it goes the best with it. Yes, the petticoats would be scratchy and definitely difficult to sit down in! But the look is so classic 50's. She would certainly turn some head when she walked into the room! Fun fun fun.
