Labor Day Weekend (for the USA)

The Friday workday is almost over for me.  I've basically stopped.  This has been a very busy day, and I am quite glad that it is winding down!!

We have to go to Sam's Club tonight, and we also have to get things ready for our neighbors to watch the fur-children for us, since we are going down to Naples (FL) for the weekend.  As mentioned before, we will be celebrating Joe's birthday with our grandson, his mom and step-dad.  We always have a great time there, and they have some special things planned for Grandpa, so it will be fun and much appreciated.  Joe's birthday is actually on Wednesday (the 5th).  I'll have my computer with me, but probably won't be posting much or reading much, so please give me time to catch up later!

My heart goes out to one friend, here, who lost her father-in-law this morning.  Prayers being lifted for comfort during this very sad and stressful time.

My heart is singing for another friend here, who had good news about an MRI today.  Some problems have been troubling, and the news is good that there is no tumor!!  Praise God.

I wish you all just the right kind of weekend and holiday you are hoping for!  I think Canada is celebrating a holiday on Monday, too.  Not sure about my friends in other countries.  One way or the other, it IS the weekend, so please rest if you can, and enjoy!

Peace, love & hugs.

School Lunches....

I am following a blog by Karen of Sew Many Ways, and her blog this morning is about school lunches.  It brought back memories of those days.

Some of you know that I am from a very, very, very small town in Central Ohio.  Many of the residents lived in the country and were farmers.  Pigs and corn.  I lived "in town" just a block from the school.  My school was kindergarten through 12th grade, all in two buildings joined by the auditorium/gymnasium.  The cafeteria was in the elementary part of the school, but high school had lunch there too.  Because it was so small, we knew the 'cafeteria ladies' like we knew our teachers.  I was fortunate to be able to have the school lunch every day.  My parents both worked full time, so  packing lunches just wasn't on the agenda.  (I'm the oldest of four kids.)

What was your favorite school lunch?  Did you eat a 'hot lunch' or did you pack yours?  My favorite was baked chili.  I remember it being so delicious!  It was like the typical chili soup, but was thick enough to eat with a fork.  I think today Rachel Ray calls it 'stoup'.  Another memory is from peanut butter sandwich day.  There would be bowls of dill pickles on the tables.  Wide open bowls of pickles for the kids to eat, if you liked dill pickles.  I still put dill pickles on my peanut butter sandwiches...don't wrinkle your nose until you try it!!  It's GOOD!!  LOL

Anyway, I thought I would piggy-back on Karen's blog, and find out what you all had for lunches when you were in school.

Here is an aerial view of my home town.  My grandma lived across the street from us, and my BFF Elaine lived next to Grandma.  If you click on the photo to enlarge it, it will make more sense.  I posted this on Multiply awhile back, so some of you have seen it already.  You can see the school I went to, referenced above.  The Jr. High/High School is to the left and the elementary is to the right, with the auditorium between.  I had 47 in my senior class.  Small.

Wishing you a good FRIDAY EVE today!!  Peace, love & hugs.

Nine years ago today, I lost my younger brother to cancer.  He fought the battle for seven years, but lost it at age 48.  Much too young to be gone.  He left behind a loving wife and two amazing children.  He would be so  proud today.  Sara is about to graduate from Ohio University with a teaching degree, and Michael is in his second year of pre-med at The Ohio State University.  He wants to be a pediatric oncologist.  Takes a special heart for that kind of work.  My brother, Randy, would be so proud of his family.  He gave them a strong foundation of Christian values and a good work ethic.

Love him and miss him, but my heart is not heavy or hurting.  He is at peace and I know we will meet again one day.  I also know he is watching over us all and feel his presence often.  This is supposed to be "Wordless Wednesday" and my photos ARE worth a thousand words, but I had to write anyway!  LOL

Have a good 'hump day' everyone!  Peace, love & hugs!!

Ten Thought Tuesday....

I've never done a Ten-Thought-Tuesday before.  Not sure I have 10 thoughts in my heard, but I'll give it a try!

  1. Have you checked out the "new" Multiply site?  http://civatar.com/  I'm not sure what I think about it.  Everyone has scattered and I really like Blogger.
  2. We have more wind today than we did when Isaac blew by yesterday.
  3. I get my hair cut after work this evening.
  4. There was enough gravy (spaghetti sauce) left to make baked ziti tonight.  I have some fresh mozzarella that will make it taste extra yummy!
  5. Things are quiet at work today, but I got payroll done and a couple other projects caught up.
  6. We are looking forward to spending Labor Day weekend with our extended family in Naples!
  7. I don't know what to get Joe for his birthday.  He gets things he needs, and never mentions wants.  He requested dinner out at BoneFish Grill, and that's a treat for me too!
  8. I've been playing with my Blogger page.  Added a couple of things and took a couple of things away.  New discoveries each day, though!
  9. I'm happy to have a few new friends on this site!  Sad to have lost a few from Multiply, too.
  10. Finally at number ten!  Wishing you all a good evening!

A Nice Day Off....

Well, we have survived yet another tropical storm.  Thankfully for us, Isaac went way west, and is now heading toward New Orleans.  It could hit there on the anniversary of Katrina.  Scary for them.

We didn't even really have much rain and very little wind.  So thankful.  I am also enjoying the day off.  I slept in (sounds like a recording, doesn't it?).  I did a few things I didn't get to yesterday, like some lite dusting, vacuuming and mopped the kitchen.  I have some mending to do, and got the sewing machine out to get that done later today.  Joe had to work with a client this morning, so it was fun having him get up before me, for a change, and to leave with me still snuggled in bed.  LOL

I will say that my sister, in Georgia, called at 6:00 a.m., to see if we were okay.  Her call woke me up, but I was happy to hear from her.  Then, just dozing off again, a friend from Michigan called to check in, too.  That was also okay.  I'm happy people are concerned about us.  Joe's brother called us last night, and I've had numerous FB messages and notes from friends here.  So nice.  Thanks!!

I changed my background here from gray to a clear blue sky.  We are still getting tornado warnings for parts of the area, but so far Polk County is okay.

Hope you are all having a good Monday as we head into a new month and a holiday weekend!  Peace, love & hugs.

Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac

Well, Polk County schools are closed tomorrow, because of the promise of some pretty nasty weather.  We really aren't expecting it to be too bad here, but until Isaac goes by, we never know exactly what he will do.  They can be totally unpredictable.  Better safe than sorry.

I am doing laundry, and have some spaghetti sauce cooking in the crockpot.  It's smelling Italian in the house!  LOL

Just watching the weather and staying inside.  Prayers always appreciated, but I think folks up in the Florida panhandle, Georgia and Alabama need our prayers more than us right now.  Have a good end of the weekend!  Peace, love & hugs.

Good Saturday Evening...

Whew!  What a day we have had.  After sleeping in (felt so nice) and having a quick breakfast:

  • we went to the movies and saw "Obama's America 2016"; I won't say anything political, though you all know I am a conservative, but I will encourage everyone to see this factual documentary
  • we went to Walmart for a few things
  • we went to Sam's Club for a few more things
  • we went to the Sprint Store for a new battery for my phone - they didn't have one
  • we went to another Sprint Store for a new battery - they GAVE it to me!  Yay!
  • we were starving at 4:00 and went to Miller's Ale House for some 'lupper' (late lunch, early supper)
  • we went to CVS for a few more things
  • we went to Publix for even more things
  • we stopped for a lottery ticket
  • we brought everything home
After the groceries and 'things' were put away, I made some ice cream in our new Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker!!  My friend, Linda, talked about home made ice cream a few weeks ago, so I started looking on Amazon for a 'good deal' and found one a week or so ago.  We will enjoy some later this evening, and I'm so looking forward to it!  Linda - it's all your fault!  LOL

Tomorrow, I will do laundry (as always) and some cleaning, since nothing got done today other than running.  We are bracing for Hurricane Isaac to arrive late Sunday - early Monday.  Thankfully, the models still have him going west of us, with only the 40 MPH  winds on the outer bands hitting us.  The panhandle and up into Alabama and Georgia will get the worst of it, so it appears right now.  Isaac is still just a category one, so that's good.

Wishing you all a good Sunday!  Peace, love & hugs.

Friday's Festivities...

I had a short day at work, since I took the afternoon off for my friend's birthday party.  I did get a good bit accomplished in four hours, though!  That felt good.  It also felt good starting my weekend early!  LOL

Heather and Terry (the other Terry) couldn't join us, so it was just Cindee, Melody and me at Shirley's house.  Mel's birthday was last week, but that didn't keep us from enjoying a wonderful lunch of homemade lasagna, a yummy salad, cheese and fruit, and homemade cake and ice cream!  Oh - almost forgot - wine!

We spent about three hours talking, laughing and catching up on kids and grandkids.  It was a great afternoon.

Joe and I are going to the opening exhibit at Gallery 2125, which is here in town.  Mike and Mary Ellen reminded us of it last night, so we thought we would pop in for awhile, and then go to dinner.  We'll be leaving in a few minutes, actually.

Nothing special planned for the weekend, except the usual - cleaning and laundry.  Who knows where we might find ourselves!  Wishing you a good weekend!  I'll leave you with pictures from the birthday fun!  Peace, love & hugs!

 Cindee

 Babe

  Shirley

 Fruit & Cheese Plate

  Cake

  Lasagna

This last picture is really for my friend, Linda.  Shirley's colorful stemware made me think of yours!  Her's is from Germany, dating back to World War II.  Her father had them sent to the USA from Germany.

Friday Eve Winding Down....

It is nearly bed time and I'm just getting to my computer again!  We had a spur-of-the-moment dinner out with friends tonight.  We met Mike and Mary Ellen at church, and have been friends for at least 15 years.  Mary Ellen referred a client to Joe for some accounting work awhile back, and she has turned out to be a good client.  We wanted to treat them to dinner out and give Mary Ellen a gift for the referral, and it worked out that we could do it tonight.  We went to Saigon Bistro and had Pho and spring rolls.  Yum!!  It was their first time there, and they loved it, too.  We met them there at 6:30 and didn't leave until after 8:30.  It was good talking and catching up.

Mike and Mary Ellen are also very involved in the local arts around town, and they reminded us of a gallery opening tomorrow night.  Joe and I may pop in.  It starts at 5:30, and the exhibit is showcasing local Hispanic artists, at Gallery 2125.

I posted on Facebook today that I had lunch at Mr. Fish.  Mr. Fish has been in Lakeland forever.  They fry everything, and the fish is breaded in a corn meal breading.  They have fried mushrooms, fish, shrimp, clams, fries, onion rings, corn fritters, tater tots.... it goes on and on.  I had fish, tater tots and corn fritters, and was stuffed to the gills!  It sure was good, though.  The corn fritters are like candy.  Seriously.

Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac is moving west a bit, and the track has changed enough that we are still in the cone, but maybe out of the worst of it.  I pray it continues its track west, though I sure don't want it to hit New Orleans.  Track west and die out is the best that could happen.

I mentioned yesterday that I have tomorrow afternoon off to spend the afternoon with my girlfriends, celebrating Melody's birthday.  It's always nice to have a short Friday and a longer weekend!

Peace, love & hugs.

August 22, 2012 - Wednesday

It was a busy day at work today, including a lunch meeting that ran a little long.  Our Investment Review Committee met today, and several people were late getting there.  My number one pet peeve is people who are late.  I understand that sometimes it can't be helped, but those folks who are just always late drive me nuts.  Does it make them feel more powerful to waltz in late, expecting that we waited for them?  We had started the meeting, but then had to back-track to bring them up-to-date.  Grrrrrr.

Anyway, I did get a lot accomplished today, so that feels good.  Friday, I am taking the afternoon off to enjoy a birthday lunch party for my friend Melody.  Shirley is hosting us at her house, and it will be nice to be able to stay and visit.  Melody has to travel 2 hours to get here, so we don't see her very often.  Her birthday was last Friday, so our celebration is a little late.

We are bracing for Tropical Storm Isaac to become a hurricane over the weekend, and be at our door on Monday.  So far, the prediction is for only a category 1 hurricane.  Bad enough, but not bad enough to cause panic.  It means lots of rain and some high winds.  With some luck, it will break apart going over Cuba and won't reach us.  There is lots of buzz in Tampa, because the Republican Convention begins about the time Isaac will arrive.  A real headache if people need to be evacuated from the Tampa Bay area.  You can be sure I'll keep my friends here posted!!  Peace, love & hugs.

August 21, 2012 Tuesday

I tried to write a blog last night, but my network card is still not working.  It would hold for a few seconds, then crap out on me again.  Frustrating!!  Hopefully the new USB Network card will work.  It should arrive today!

I spent yesterday reconciling bank statements.  With our (the Museum's) investment accounts, and the other checking accounts, I have 15 accounts to reconcile each month.  It usually goes smoothly, but one of them gave me fits.  It's just cash in and cash out, but sometimes I am positive there is a gremlin working against me!!  LOL  Simple arithmetic should not be that difficult!!

Today, I will be writing the financial reports for the Board.  Another fun job.  Each year, the new President and/or Treasurer want things presented differently, so I have to revamp the reports and give them what they want.  It's only tough getting the first reports out.  After that, not so bad.  Our fiscal year starts July 1st, and the Board meets for the first time in the new year, in September.  That is also when the audit and our 990 are presented to the Board, so I spent a good bit of time back and forth yesterday with our CPA firm, getting them information they need.  I really do love my job, but now and then it does get a bit stressful!!

So, it is Tuesday already and the week is off and running!  Hope it is being good to you so far!  If not, I hope it smooths out for you!!  Thanks for checking in!  Peace, love & hugs!

August 19, 2012 Sunday

The message at Mass this morning was about the Body and Blood of Christ, and the Catholic belief that Christ is present in the Eucharist.  We had a visiting Priest from Africa.  He was an eloquent speaker.

After 7:30 Mass and dropping Al off at his house, we went to Fred's Southern Market, for the breakfast buffet.  Yum.  We didn't have to eat lunch after that feast.  For our dinner, Joe grilled steak and we had asparagus and corn with it.

The last load of laundry is in the dryer.  I had an extra load, with the guest room sheets to do.  I also got some much needed bookkeeping done.  It has been a stay-at-home, but good day.  Back to work tomorrow!

The network card is going out on my laptop.  I ordered a USB network card through Amazon, and it should be here on Tuesday.  My connection lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes.  Needless to say, it is driving me crazy.

Did you get the same message I received today, regarding Multiply releasing the codes so the blogging site can live on?  How do you feel about it?  I like Blogger, but I really miss my friends who haven't moved here. Seems like it would be nice to stay on Multiply, if it really won't change (or get better!).  Time will tell.

I hear thunder rumbling outside.  Sounds like we are in for some rain again.

Hope you have all had a good weekend.  Wishing you a good week ahead.  Monday is almost upon us!  Peace, love & hugs.

August 18, 2012 Saturday

The picture is worth 1,000 words!  Today was cleaning day.  If I skip a week, the house just seems so dirty to me, and we had Tristan with us last weekend, so I didn't get any housework done.  Joe does the bathrooms, which is a big help.  We got it done, and it sure feels good to have the dusting, vacuuming, and mopping done.  Tomorrow, I'll do laundry.  At one time, we had a cleaning service come twice a month.  That was really nice, but it is so expensive to do that.  My sister has a cleaning lady who works for $10 an hour.  Sure wish I had someone here who would work for that price!!  I could have someone every week and the monthly expense would be about what I paid for one day to Maid Pro.  It was nice having the weekends to get out and do things other than clean!  Of course, if I could get motivated to do a little each evening, it wouldn't be such a big deal on the weekend - but, when I get home from work, cleaning is the last thing I want to do.  Sigh.

We woke up to the sound of thunder.  We have had rain all morning.  Unusual for us, since our rains usually come in the afternoons during the summer.  It has cooled things off for us, which is great.  It is only 75 right now!  Amazing!

Not much else to report right now.  I'll get this posted and poke around a bit.  Wishing you a good rest of the day, and a great Sunday!  Peace, love & hugs!

Friday, August 17, 2012

I am beginning to figure out that Google+ takes up the slack that is left behind by Blogger.  I wanted a place for my photos to live, and found out that they will download automatically into Google+ photos, and I can make my albums all private.  This is perfect for me, so I have access to my photos from anywhere.  Blogger doesn't really have a photo app like that.

I also found that I can see everyone's blog on my phone, through Google+.  The Blogger app just shows my posts, and allows me to write a new blog.  I don't care about mine, as much as not wanting to miss my friends' posts.  If you haven't linked your Blogger account to Google+, you really should think about doing it.  There are some good options available there that we don't get here.  I think they were made to work together, actually!

Speaking of friends, I am finding some new friends here on Blogger.  That's kind of nice, so far anyway!  Friends of friends are moving over and finding me - or I am finding them.  Expanding the community!  It's a good thing!!

Thank goodness it's Friday!!  We don't have weekend plans, but we did have Tristan last weekend, so no cleaning got done.  The house needs some attention.  Other than that, come what may!!  Wishing everyone here a good weekend!!  Peace, love & hugs!!

Flying Over America!

This video (linked above) is an amazing, epic trip across America!  It takes five minutes to watch, so please make sure you have time.  It is SO worth seeing.  What a beautiful, wonderful country we have!  Enjoy it!

Nothing new or exciting to report today, so my blog will be short.  I actually did my ironing last night!  That's 'epic' in and of itself.  I had about three week's worth of things that needed to be pressed.  It doesn't take long, but it just seems like drudgery to me.

Hope you are all having a good day!!  Peace, love & hugs.

August 15, 2012 - Post #2

My sister shared these photos on Facebook.  I had to copy them, to keep for me, so you get to see them too!  This is my niece, Kelly, posing for her senior pictures!  I can't believe she will be a senior this year!  Talk about time flying!

They sure do senior pictures differently from when I was a senior!  LOL

My senior picture!  Yikes!!!

Wordless Wednesday.

My friend, Kris, asked us to join in.  Post a photo that requires no words.  I chose this one, of my brother's kids, my nephew Mike and niece Sara.  If you read yesterday's blog, you will realize why no words are necessary for this photo!

August 14, 2012

This is the month in which I lost my younger brother to cancer.  My sister-in-law and nephew are already posting about it on Facebook.  He died on August 29, 2003.  It's hard to believe it has been nine years already.  We all miss him.  He was a fine man of faith, active in his church, and a good provider for his family.  He worked hard to put himself through college, then worked hard in his own business to make sure his wife and kids were well taken care of.  He left them with a beautiful home, newly renovated and redecorated, completely paid for.  Money had been set aside for college, for both kids, and arrangements made through his business to continue to care for his family.

He had been fighting cancer for seven years, combined.  After his first surgery, when they said they got it all and he wouldn't need chemo or radiation, he had three years of cancer-free worry.  Then it came back with a vengeance.  Don't ever let "them" tell you that you don't need chemo or radiation because "they got it all".  Just don't believe it.  That's my advice to anyone who has a cancer diagnosis.  Be as aggressive as you can!  My brother was only 48, and his kids were only 10 and 14.  Sara is now 23 and graduating from college with a teaching degree.  Michael has completed his first year at Ohio State, in pre-med.  Because of faith and love, they came through losing their dad okay (though not without some bruises). But, praise God always.

Anyway, that was on my mind, and I thought I would make this my annual post, remembering my little brother.  He is in my thoughts often, always with love and joy because I know where he is and that I will see him again one day.

Back at work today.  Tuesday is my Monday, since I had yesterday off.  It messes me up for the week, because I always think it's a day earlier.  I've been a lazy slug at home lately.  There is ironing to do - yes, Linda, I still have some things that require a steam iron!  Since we had Tristan with us, I also didn't do any cleaning, so need to do a little each evening to catch up with that.  Seems it is always a game of catch-up, though.  Not sure I could function any other way!!  LOL

Hope you are all having a good Monday!  Peace, love & hugs.

Excellent Explanation!

This explains MY disdain for Obamacare (and socialism) better than anything I've seen yet.  Spelled out in an easy-to-understand way.  Watch to the end and think about what he is saying.

Excellent Explanation!

August 13, 2012

I took a vacation day, today, so Joe and I can take Tristan down to Punta Gorda, to our drop-off spot.  His step-dad  Jim, will be picking him up there.  We're to meet at 2:30, so we have to leave here by 12:15 or so.

We have had a fun few days with Tristan.  Nothing really exciting, more just hanging out.  He and his grandpa have fun, no matter what we do.  Those moments are so important for the memories they will make.

Some friends here are talking about school starting this week.  Our schools don't open until next week, though teachers are back to work, getting classroom ready, and the police are already setting speed traps on the heavily traveled roads, getting people to slow down.  Trouble is, it's not the adults who speed through school zones, it's the kids!  If parents knew how some of their kids were driving, I think the keys would be taken away from them.  The high schoolers always seem to be running late, so they speed in and out of the traffic.  Anyway, that's my vent for the week - kids driving too fast and taking too many chances, to get to school before the bell rings.  I've enjoyed having the streets nearly to myself in the mornings this summer.

Not much else to report on.  We got bored with the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, so changed the channel.  I've enjoyed watching, and am proud of our athletes, but I am also ready for "normal programming" to return!  LOL  Tonight is the final episode of "The Closer".  I am sad to see it go.  We have enjoyed all seven seasons.  We will give the spin-off a chance - see how it goes.  It follows The Closer tonight.

So, saying good-bye to our grandson.  We will be down there for Labor Day weekend, though, so it won't be long before we see him again.

Wishing you all a good day and week ahead!!  Peace, love & hugs.

This is Onyx, taking up my entire pillow this morning.  He is a pillow hog, for sure!  LOL

Awesome Finds on Pinterest!

One of the perks of having Blogger, now, is that there are so many really awesome sites on Pinterest that come from Blogger!!  I'm starting to follow some of them, as I come across them.  Pay attention while you are pinning and you'll be amazed at the blog sites and ideas that are out there!  Wow.

August 11, 2012

We have had a good Saturday, in spite of not getting Lucky (kitty) this morning, as we were expecting.

We all slept in, got up and had cereal and English muffins for breakfast (and coffee, of course).  We left for St. Pete and our favorite Italian Market, Mazzaro's!  We picked up some of our favorites (biscuits, pizzelles, wine and Italian candies).  From there, we went to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

My work, Polk Museum of Art, has a reciprocal membership deal with the Aquarium, August through December.  All three of us got in free today!  It's a good thing, too, because we were not impressed with the facility.  It has become famous because of the movie about the dolphin, Winter, with the robotic tail fin.  Winter lives at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and it was MOBBED by people.  The ticket price is $19.95 per person.  We 'saved' $60 with our Museum membership, which was awesome!

On the way home, we were all ready for lunch, so got off the interstate and pigged out at Buddy Freddy's Southern Buffet.  Yum!

Now we are home, watching the Jodie Foster movie, "The Brave One".  It is good, but a tough one.

Hope you are having a good weekend.  I hope more of my friends are able to see this blog!  Let me know, please!! Peace, love & hugs from Blogger!

August 10, 2012 - Disappointed!

Well, I found out today that Veronica is going to keep little Lucky.  Her son, who lives next door and keeps close tabs on his mom, relented and told her she should keep little Lucky.  Her older cat, Tootsie, is starting to accept him, and Lucky is sleeping in bed with Veronica now.  She just can't let him go.

It's a good thing.  We sure don't 'need' five cats, but I am really disappointed now.  We bought kitten food and were prepared to surprise Tristan tomorrow morning, when Lucky got delivered to us.  We will donate the kitten food to the SPCA.  It is too rich for our older cats.  Had I known ahead of time, I might have taken Sami's little gray tomcat - the volunteer who was looking for a home for the kitten Tristan was holding in my blog two days ago.  Sami is on vacation in NYC now, and no one knows who is keeping the kitten while she is gone.

I figure when it's meant to be, a little one will find us.  It always works out the way it is supposed to!

Hope you all have a good weekend!  Now that we don't have to be home with a new kitten, we will find something fun to do with Tristan.  He and Joe are going to the movies this afternoon.

Peace, love & hugs from me at Blogger!

August 9, 2012 -- Tristan's Service Hours

It is always fun to have Tristan visiting.  He was at work with me all day yesterday (and half a day today), helping in the Education Department.  He gets service hours for the work he does, and he did work hard cleaning out the supply closets for them.  He also organized the flat files in one of the closets.

It was fun going out to lunch with him.  We tried a new little Chinese restaurant that is downtown.  It was surprisingly good!  He thought pizza would be good for dinner, so we had pizza!  LOL

Tristan doesn't know that we are getting a new kitten on Saturday.  He  played with a little gray kitten yesterday, that one of the volunteers brought in, trying to find a home for him.  Tristan wanted me to take him, of course.  If Lucky wasn't due on Saturday, I might have!!!

Have a good day!  Peace, love & hugs from Blogger!

Grandson Tristan Is Visiting

Tristan is with us for a week.  He came to work with me, to get some service hours logged for school.  I don't know what my friends in the Education Department have him doing today, but we are going to lunch together, so I'm sure I will hear all about it.

I am trying to learn Blogger, to see if it is a good replacement for Multiply.  Time will tell!
