Continuing the tradition of posting photos from the week, started by Deb at Breathing in Grace!
Doc and Pistol got their carrots when we visited the farm (Joe's client)
on Wednesday. It was hot and sticky out and the sky was gray.
Majesty got treats. He was hot and sticky too.
Vanna came over for some carrots, even though she was laying down
when I got there. I guess the sand was cool to lay in.
The cattle and the sheep were in a different pasture than usual, but I
heard them and then found where they were.
The bull (left) got in front of the girls to protect them from me. LOL
I found three ducks under the flowering bushes but they
took off before I could get a photo of anything but their backs...
This flowering bush was just full of butterflies. I took 8 - 10 photos trying
to get them in flight but failed. Should have done a video.
If you look closely, you can see a couple of yellow butterflies but not
the colorful ones. Whatever this flower is, the butterflies love it.
Going out, more cattle were in the pastures. We didn't see any going in.
And yesterday morning, Vinny's ear greeted me from the top of the kitchen cupboards.
He sleeps up there all the time.
That's it for the day. Thanks for peeking in.
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

I always enjoy seeing pictures from your visit to the farm. And love the one of Vinny's ear! lol
ReplyDeleteHow cute is Vinny! I always enjoying seeing pictures from other places. Summer is here and while it is hot it is pretty.
ReplyDeleteAlways love your farm pics. Vinny's ear is adorable.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Gotta love Vinny's ear! I wish I could tell you the name of that flowering plant that attracted the butterflies, Terri. I know Lantana bushes attract them, but this doesn't look like one of those.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
That flowering bush is soooo pretty; I like the black metal 'thingy.' Yup, gray and sticky here in Alabama, too ... Tom keeps saying, "This is miserable." One day closer to Fall!
ReplyDeleteVinny's ear is so funny! He wants you to know he's listening whether you can see him or not! So be careful what you say about him! LOL. Loved the pictures at the farm. I forget what that flower is that the butterflies love so much. I should look it up. I had a neighbor in Salt Springs who had her front yard full of that and the butterflies were everywhere! The ducks are funny too. Those cattle look rather distrustful, but curious! Love the horses always. Thank you for sharing with us. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the road trip pics... good luck with the storm... thinking of you.. :)
ReplyDeleteSo far it doesn't look like the storm will bother us too much here in the more western part of the state. Eastern coast will feel it. We are watching it, though!
DeleteI always enjoy seeing your farm photos.
ReplyDeleteLOL... I didnt even know that was your kitty up there. He's got a "BIRDS EYE VIEW" up there. lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos from the farm!
ReplyDeleteLove that capture of Vinnie too - cats are so funny!
Your photos make me homesick for southern Illinois, where the land is flat farmland.
