I sat up on the side of the bed Wednesday morning and almost stepped on
Lilly's tail. She was hiding from Vinny. Made me laugh out loud!!
We got to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday morning.
Aronel had just fed the horses so Majesty and Vanna
had no interest in walking over for carrots.
Doc and Pistol did stop eating grain for some carrots, though!
I got slobbery grain all over my hand, but that was okay.
They went right back to the grain when the carrots were gone.
I walked over to the pasture where I saw that bull from last week,
another bull, three ladies, and a sheep.
I started talking to them and enticing them to come and see me...
The two bulls started coming closer and the girls followed.
Here is the big boy from last week. So handsome!
And this is the other bull. Also very handsome.
Getting closer...
I moved back away from the fence and kept talking to them.
They all, including the sheep, ended up at the fence.
I left them to their day...
The view from the table on the patio where I settled in to read my book.
I did move into the office later to enjoy the AC. It is SO hot here.
Joe and I went to Shells for our dinner on Wednesday and got home in time for our community group's Zoom meeting. I think we are all tired of meeting that way, but it is good to see everyone and catch up.
Last night, we picked up Italian dinners at Il Forno (local Italian restaurant) for us and for our neighbors, Paul and Anne. Anne had kidney stones removed on Monday and is nursing an incision in her back and still has a catheter. Ugh. They were so good about getting us food after my surgery and we were happy to give back. We enjoyed our meal too.
Joe sees our cardiologist today. He needs some dental work done and had to wait at least six months after his heart valve surgery to get it done so we are seeking permission now. That is all we have on the calendar today.
Thanks for coming by!

The farm pictures are pretty as ever. Glad you didnt step on Lilly's tail - that would have been a loud meow for sure. Hoping Joe gets the go ahead to have his dental work. Have a blessed Friday.
ReplyDeleteI always love your farm pics. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteKeeping Joe in prayer...we still can't get dental work done here, its NON ESSTENTIAL. Sigh...anyways, love the farm photos and seeing your family of cats, loveeeeeeeeeee Vinny, smiles.
ReplyDeleteLoved the farm pics, Terri, and will keep Joe in prayer. The cat tail was a hoot!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Love seeing the farm photos, Terri. And now I am hungry after hearing about good Italian food. It is one of my favorites. Italian bread is just so delicious. I am a carboholic, can you tell???
ReplyDeleteThe bull is one handsome critter, but they always scare me. When you think that if they wanted to get through that fence, they could do it in a second! So I'm wondering if Lilly's tail was twitching. Whenever Tommy and Smokey were playing like that, the one hiding would have a tail twitching like crazy. Hope Joe can get the dental work done. Have a good weekend, and do you expect it to cool down anytime soon?
ReplyDeleteLilly's tail was very still which is unusual since we call her Monkey Girl because her tail is always in motion and curls around things like monkey tails do. I don't expect it to cool down much for at least another month or two.
DeleteShame on me. I'm looking at those cattle and thinking...yum! Thanks for taking us along to farm. It's always a pretty trip. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad because I think the same when I see them. They ARE beef cattle!
DeleteGlad those bulls didn't see "red" and come charging! LOL. they looked pretty tame. Are they Black Angus? That is what my daddy used to raise in Pennsylvania. I'm glad you didn't step on the cats tail too. That could have been a "rude awakening" for both of you! Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey are Brangus... Angus and Brahman.
DeleteDental work... I'm having some done, too, and taking my Mom. I'm so glad they let me go in with her! Always love the farm pics. You're such a great neighbor and friend! 💜
ReplyDeleteGlad the animals at the farm can all get along...... makes for a good day.. :)
ReplyDeleteThe tail is hilarious. I know what you mean about tired the Zoom meetings. We were going to meet at the end of July but there have been some close calls within the group so I don't know if we will meet together of not. Pretty sick of the big C.
ReplyDeleteYour view is perfect for reading a book, but the heat is picking up. The humidity has been awful this past week.
I'm always touched to hear about the give-and-take camaraderie which exists in your community. Wish such a place existed around here. That's a wonderful picture you captured of Old Glory! Were that my property, I'd probably want it put on a great big canvas. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteOH wow - hope Joe isnt' in pain with dental issues with having to wait!
ReplyDeleteHope you ahve a good weekend!
No pain, but thanks for your concern! He just needs a few teeth pulled to make way for some dentures.
DeleteBeautiful farm pics! Isn't it funny how curious cows are? They had to check you out.
ReplyDeleteHope Joes appt went well!
It did. He's cleared for the dental work!
DeleteThat's great!
DeleteThat view from the patio is spectacular!
