Whimsical Wednesday on Thursday...

There isn't a linky and there aren't any rules.
Take a look at the gown and help her choose some shoes!
It's just a whimsical thing!  Have some fun.
(Photos from the Storybook of Dreams & Beauty)

Natalie Wood's birthday was this week (July 20th).
She was born Natalia Nikolaevna Zakharenko; July 20, 1938.
Natalie wore this gown as Gypsy Rose Lee but wardrobe forgot
to give her some shoes to wear.
(The long white gloves are so 1960!)

Should she pick #1

or Shoe #2

 or Shoe #3

My thoughts:   The gown is great for Natalie (she was so pretty!) and the role she played but is not my style at all. I do love the color though and would pick shoe #1 because it looks the most comfortable. What do you think?

Don't forget to visit Rebecca Jo at Knit By God's Hand and share a blessing or two today for her Thankful Thursday!   I am thankful that we got the toilets put in yesterday and they are quiet!!  (We ordered Chinese for dinner, for those who made suggestions!)

Thanks for your visit today!
Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  2. I pick shoe #1. The pearls go with her white gloves.

  6. Definitely #1 for me, too. I was a big fan of Natalie Woods and like yesterday, remember where I was and what I was doing when we heard she'd drowned.

  7. Shoe #1 is my choice. It just seems to go with the outfit best.

  9. I like the color but not the gown. Shoe #1 looks the most comfortable, but I really like #3 as well. I am a huge old movie fan, so I have seen MANY of Natalie Wood's films. Maybe not as famous a child star as Shirley Temple, but every bit as cute and sweet.

  10. Shoe #1, and I LOVE the color. That is my favorite color to wear. That particular dress reminds me of a mermaid. It is lovely on her, but would not be flattering on most of us mature ladies probably. But she was so pretty. Loved her in West Side Story.

  11. I love how curvy women were allowed to be back then. I vote for shoes #1.

  12. I say #1 - its classic.
I just listened to a podcast about Natalie Wood - it was hard to listen to with what she endured in her life

  13. I think shoe #1 best fits the era for which this dress was made, but all three pairs are beautiful. What a gorgeous shade of blue and it suits Natalie Wood's coloring so well!

  14. The gown is pretty on her and I really like the color, but it's not something I would ever wear. I would also pick #1.
    I always enjoy this post!

  16. Catching up here but yes definitely #1. Very elegant. Just caught up with a few of your posts Terri. Sorry to hear about Helen. I hope the tests get to the bottom of things and they can sort out ways to help her. Always love your photos from your farm trips and glad you got your toilets sorted. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
