Movie Challenge
Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". .
Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The
Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the
blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most
interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!
From Sharon Compton
1. Last movie you watched. We watched both The Patriot and Independence Day on July 4th.
2. Last movie you watched in a theater. I can't even remember. We don't go to the movies often and, of course, not at all in the last four months.
3. A film you’ve always wanted to watch, but haven’t. I can't think of one. If I want to see a movie, I see it.
4. Favorite movie soundtrack. Lots of them have great music. I don't really have a favorite. Some of the best, though, go way back to the 40s and 50s with Fred Astaire and Donald O'Connor, for instance.
5. Your favorite movie duo. Lately, Sandra Bullock and Mellisa McCarthy. So funny!
6. Movie you like because of its story. Gosh, isn't the story the whole thing?
7. A film that disappointed you. The first and only adaptation of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum. The casting was terrible. It was awful.
8. Favorite scene from a movie. There are so many... many are from Gone With The Wind.
9. Your guilty pleasure movie. Any of those Fred Astaire movies...
10. A movie you keep going back to. It's A Wonderful Life; The Christmas Story; any Christmas Carol movie...
11. A quote you admire from your favorite movie. I don't have just one favorite movie. How about "There's no place like home".
12. A movie based on a true story. I Can Only Imagine.
13. Your favorite actor/actress. I always enjoy Sandra Bullock and Sam Elliot... and then there is always Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
14. A sequel you’re not a fan of. Most sequels are bad, except Harry Potter and Hunger Games. They were well done and kept to the books pretty well.
15. A film you know by heart. Sleepless in Seattle is one.
16. Your favorite opening scene. Gone With The Wind is one...
17. A film that was based on a book and was executed well Gone With The Wind, Harry Potter, Hunger Games...
18. A comedy film O Brother, Where Art Thou is funny and has great music!
19. TV series you’re binging on now. McLeod's Daughters on Acorn TV.
20. A TV series you think is underrated. I can't think of one.
These were not easy for me - guess that's why it is a Movie CHALLENGE! I just don't have a "favorites" list for anything and have seen so many movies that I like. But, it is what it is. I did what came to mind.
Off to church this morning. It is communion Sunday for us!
Thanks for your visit today!
Happy Sunday!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

We usually watch Independence Day but we missed it this year. We need to sit down and watch it as we have little else to do!! So far we are making it with regular You Tube tv. We are surprised at how many of our British shows can be watched on there.
ReplyDeleteI love Gone with the Wind, too, Terri, and all those Christmas favorites you mentioned. Will have to admit, though, I'm not much of a movie watcher, even in these times. Still want to see I Can Only Imagine.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, and have a wonderful Sunday!
I cant even remember the last time I went to a movie theatre but do watch movies on tv all the time. It would be hard for me to choose a favorite or favorite actress and actor. You made some choices that I would second with you. Have a blessed Sunday at church.
ReplyDeleteI only know him from a few things but I love Sam Elliot. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhh I love Sam Elliot, smiles. Have a beautiful day friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteI forgot Sam!!!!! Now, your list has some surprises. I never would have guess you are a fan of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games! Have a blessed Sunday. It is raining here...it wasn't supposed to.
ReplyDeleteStacy, I loved the books but really only watched the first two Harry Potter movies. I read the books when they first came out with granddaughter, Lauren, so we talked about them all the time. I read the Hunger Games books and we did watch the movies when they got to TV.
DeleteThe movies got so expensive it wasn't much fun anymore knowing how much I was paying. Add a big screen T.V. with good speakers and an easy chair it is hard to find a reason to go.... I also got tired of the talking that seemed to now be acceptable. .
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all your answers as usual.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
I sure agree about musical scores from the 40's and 50's! I, too, love Sandra Bullock ... but can't recall ever having seen Melissa McCarthy. Isn't that pathetic? LOL. Even with theatres being shut down, I still prefer watching on my own television ... where the popcorn's free! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteCheers to free popcorn!!
DeleteThe movies older movies always had great music!! I love old movies because the good guys always win. Hope you're enjoying a good day.
ReplyDeleteThe last movie I saw in the theater was The Titanic! That's how long it has been since I've been to a real movie theater. I don't watch many movies, but I love old Cary Grant films probably best of all. One of my favorites is "The Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant, Loretta Young, and David Niven.
