Continuing the tradition begun by Deb at Breathing in Grace by posting photos from the week...
A beautiful Florida sky greeted us as we entered the farm (Joe's client)
on Wednesday morning. Is that an Angel or a Dove in the upper right corner?
Doc and Pistol got their carrots.
Majesty did too! Vanna was too tired and hot to cross the pasture for a few nibbles.
She has a bad leg and is in pain. Her discomfort is being watched and cared for though.
I call these two the twins. They are siblings, not named, and are for sale.
They are friendly and love getting a piece of carrot from me.
Karma is a bit mean though he will take a carrot piece from me without biting my finger.
These are some baby guinea hens being protected from predators until they are bigger.
Arya got doggie treats, as did Roho and Tex (no pics of them this week).
I didn't see Kobe or Reece this time.
Last night we got Chinese take-out at our favorite China Wok. Yum.
(My tongue was hanging out kinda like Arya's was, above!)
We got home before the storm... look at that sky.
There is nothing on the calendar today, for me. Joe has a client coming by with their tax information this afternoon. We did go to the pool yesterday and I walked and did some leg lifts, etc. There is no pain in the pool but last night my knees told me I had worked them! We are skipping today.
My new Singer sewing machine came last week and I finally sat down in front of it and figured out how to load the bobbin and thread the needle. I have some mending to do and I want to give making a mask a try. There are lots of free patterns online. Lakeland just issued a mandatory mask rule for inside any building (except eating at a restaurant). Whatever.
I have a couple of prayer requests for those who keep a prayer list. My youngest sister, Tammy, fell in the shower on Wednesday and broke her ankle. She is waiting for her ortho appointment next week to get a permanent cast and is being careful with the temporary cast they put on her in the ER. She is the main caregiver for her husband, who has had several strokes. He was able to alert their neighbors to come and help. This makes life very difficult for them both, as Bruce is not able to do much more than take care of his own basic needs. They live in Georgia.
The other request is for my BFF's daughter-in-law, Sue, who just lost her mom to colon cancer. Instead of celebrating Elaine's birthday yesterday, they headed out for Ohio to be with their son and DIL. Very sad times.
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

Always fun to see the happy critter faces! Adding those prayer requests to my list. Goodness, I hope your sister makes a full and quick recovery!
ReplyDeleteThere is quite a bit of sadness out there today. I said a prayer for both!
ReplyDeleteThe number of cases are on the rise here. The deaths are older but the cases are among the young and it is getting closer to home. I probably will lay low at home this weekend, but I do wear a mask to the few places I go indoors. I am not for mandating much of anything though.
I always enjoy the farm pictures. Will certainly be praying for Tammy and also Elaine during these difficult days.
ReplyDeleteAs always I love your farm pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Praying for Tammy and Bruce. What a tough situation. Also praying for BFF's family in their sorrow.
ReplyDeleteArya has such a sweet expression. Those animals, all of them, love it when they see you coming!
I'll be in prayer for Tammy and Bruce, Terri. That's got to be so rough, especially complicated by the pandemic.
ReplyDeleteLoved your photos, as always. They make me smile!
Blessings!
Prayed for Sue and Tammy. Love the pictures of all the animals. Especially Arya. My daughter's dog is named that too. Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, love the dog. I'm so sorry to read about your sister. Truly, these are difficult times, especially for all of us who are experiencing the aches and groans of our age. I'm also sorry about your friend's d-i-l. Asking the Lord to supply all the needs of your sister and her husband, and for your friend's family to experience His love and comfort in her sorrow.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy that Florida sky... though I imagine plenty hot by now.... :)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your sister and best friend. Hugs and prayers to them.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy your farm pictures tho - makes me feel and see beauty.
Oh, my heart is hurting for Vanna. Glad to know her humans are taking good care of her. That first cloud image reminds me of an eagle on the hunt! (Great timing!) Praying for Sue and Tammy, and Bruce as well. Please keep us updated?
ReplyDeleteLoved your farm pics as always. That would be a true highlight for me too. I am so sorry for your sister and her hubby. Praying they will be able to manage. Do they have anyone near who can help out? Also sorry to hear about your BFF's family's loss. Thoughts and prayers going up for them. Your cloud is an angel of course. We need to know our angels are watching over us all the time. I love to see them in the clouds! Always makes me happy. Makes me feel like heaven really isn't all that far away at all! Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteBruce's kids are near and are helping some. Bruce is older and his "kids" are older than Tammy so it hasn't always been an easy road for her. They have stepped up though with groceries, meals, and one daughter is taking her to her appointment on Tuesday and his son is staying with Bruce while they are gone. Praise God.
DeleteGoing to the farm is like going to a little zoo! I always enjoy your pics.
ReplyDeleteI remember well when Bruce had those strokes. Sorry to hear this happened to Tammy. Hope there is someone who is able to help them. Praying for Sue and family too.
Praying for Tammy and Bruce and also Sue and her family.
