Hello, dear blogging friends! Another weekend has come and gone, and here we are with a new week stretching out in front of us.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Backing up to Friday, I was blessed to have a girls' day out with my two neighbors, Susan and Sandy!! We went over to the Madeira Beach area for some shopping at John's Pass. Susan drove us safely there and back home again (thank you, Susan!). We had lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp and acted like tourists!! I did get a few photos to share...
Saturday was a catch-up day for me. The day did start with a one-mile walk!! Susan, Sandy, and I have decided to take a walk in the mornings (when possible). It is just a little more than a mile around the perimeter of our community. We did it in 25 minutes (though we did stop to admire a new puppy named Tucker at one of the houses around the corner!) I did some cleaning when I got back home, and then I did some relaxing. I'm pretty good at relaxing!
I was a Greeter at church yesterday. It is always fun, and I get lots of hugs!! The Pastor's sermon series for a few weeks is 1 & 2 Peter. Next week is our first potluck lunch of the cooler fall/winter season. We were reminded of the importance of feasting together! It is always fun and the food is always delicious!
I am off to the Moffitt Cancer Center this morning with Anne and Paul. Tomorrow, Cheryl invited me to go explore a big flea market over in Kissimmee. She will pick me up at 8:45. Later this week, I'm getting my driveway painted. I'll get some before-and-after pictures to share. I won't be able to park on it for six days. Anne parked here while theirs was done, so I'll be parking over there (across the street) while mine cures. I have the best neighbors all around me!! What a blessing!
That's enough for now. A few more things are coming up this week, but I'll get to them later.
Thanks for your visit!! Have a blessed week!!

You do have such good neighbors. The walk will be good…just he right amount I think. Even though it is cold, nothing goes in the sand and the Gulf.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a fun place to visit! Good for you with the walking, it's a nice distance.
ReplyDeleteSandy is right - you have the best neighbors!
Your girls' day out looked like a lot of fun, Terri. Well done on the walking with friends! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great girls day out! It's always fun to do the touristy thing! That sign did make me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteThe walking sounds like a great idea.
It does sound like fun at church and the potluck lunch sounds like something to look forward to.
My goodness, your day at the beach looks so fun! You look wonderful, and I love that suitcase "Forrest" left behind. Funny sign! I used to be a good speller until the internet came along and my brain cells ceased to exercise. How dependent we've become on technology!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like such a fine time with your friends!!! Painting the driveway sounds like something we should do--it get so hot in the 'black top' color!
ReplyDeleteWe have friends in Indian Shores, so not far from John's Pass area. Good neighbors are such a blessing! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a good day when you share it with friends!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really loved those photos of you and your friends at Bubba Gump's and on the beach, Terri. You are so blessed to have friends like these two. Happy walking, too!
ReplyDeleteWe had such a great time and loved the shopping with friends! I've never been to Bubba Gump and enjoyed it sitting by the window watching the ocean! We missed you today Terri on our walk. Sandy found a treasure that she didn't want, so I grabbed it! It's a tiny sewing machine lamp!! I went to Lowes and bought a lamp for it. It gives me a lot more light when I sew! Love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh that looks like you all had so much fun! I'm so happy you are able to get out and do these fun things with your friends! And walking on the beach is really super wonderful, even if it is a bit chilly. Sounds like the daily walking is going to be a blessing for you too (or when possible). It's nice to have someone to walk with you. I don't know if I could do a mile these days, but we do try to get out every day that we can and take a short walk. Sounds like a busy but good week ahead. Enjoy!! The weather has been gorgeous!! (we still need rain here, however!). Take care and have fun!!
ReplyDeleteHi dear Terri, I absolutely love all your photos! It looks like you had a great time! That restaurant looks very interesting!
ReplyDeleteThe "bad spellers of the world, untie" made me laugh!!! LOL! Love it!
I love taking walks in nature, Terri! For myself, I find it therapeutic and for me, this is the best exercise, as I cannot stand gyms or treadmills. Even if I did go to a gym, I would get my exercise but it wouldn't be the same therapy as being out in nature...seeing and hearing the birds, squirrels, trees, flowers, leaves, fresh air! I love the water, though, so swimming would probably be the next best bet for me after walking. But with our summers as hot and humid as they have been, this would not be good for me.
I really enjoyed this post, as I do all your posts, and your photos always made me smile! Thank you so much for sharing.
I think that walking is just the key to great health. You have so many friends. Love your church!
ReplyDeleteYou are always smiling, and that makes me smile too, my friend! I have just started walking, and I love it. Starting small, but I am out there! Have a cozy afternoon!
