November 10th: Another Monday Musing Post...

Good Monday, friends!  I am waiting for a repairperson to arrive.  My 'overflow' refrigerator in my workroom has lost its chill.  I was afraid it had stopped working, but the freezer is still freezing, while the fridge part is up to 52 degrees.  I emptied everything except water and sodas.  Anne, across the street, had room in her freezer for the few things I couldn't fit into my kitchen unit.  Fingers crossed that it won't be too expensive to fix.  I am so used to having an extra refrigerator/freezer.  Spoiled.

My weekend was full, but good!  Donnie got my driveway painted! I don't have "after" photos yet (it looks so nice!), but here are the before photos...

Dee and Bill's house is straight across the street.
Anne & Paul's house is to the left of theirs.

My view when I pull the car in...
I'll get the after photos today.

I took Anne and Paul back to Tampa Saturday afternoon.  I will pick them up on Wednesday.  On Saturday evening, I had dinner at Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant with friends from my working days at the Museum.  Kalisa, Gregory, and also Kalisa's husband, Donald.  It was great fun catching up with all of them.  Kalisa and I will be making plans for a trail ride, now that the weather has cooled a bit.  More about that later.

We had a potluck after church yesterday, which was very nice and well attended.  I did my usual laundry when I got home.  I also did a little sewing to mend a couple of things.

The week ahead includes today's refrigerator repair.  On Tuesday, Susan, Sandy, and I are visiting a Bee Farm!!  I hope to bring some local honey home with me!  It should be interesting!  Susan has the contact at the Bee Farm from her church.

Thanks for your visit!! Wishing you all a good week ahead!

Peace and Hugs!

  3. The driveway will be wonderful. Good luck on the fridge. I am afraid I am spoiled too. It isn’t so much the bottom as it is the freezer that I depend on.

  4. The driveway is going to look so nice! We have a spare fridge in our garage that's acting up too. Usually we just keep pop and water in it, but I like to use it around the holidays, so I'm going to have to do some checking on what's up with it.
The bee farm sounds like so much fun!

  6. So sorry to hear about your fridge. I can clean mine out and you can put stuff in it if you need to. All is confirmed with the Bee Farmer for tomorrows visit! Let me know if I can help in any way with your fridge stuff.

  7. I miss having an extra fridge here. I've always had one in the past, but there's just no room here for it and I don't want to put it in the shed where it gets too hot. We've managed to get by without it, mainly because it's just the 2 of us now and also we don't do as much entertaining as we used to. But I sure do miss having that extra space for big things and the freezer space too. I hope yours isn't a major fix! Most of the time with the new refrigerators these days they don't even bother to fix them because it costs almost as much to fix them as it does to buy a new one. They just don't make them like they used to. If yours is an older model, it may be still affordable to fix. I hope so! I can't wait to see your driveway. I'm sure it will look so nice and clean! You probably won't want to park on it! LOL. Sounds like you have some good plans and busy days ahead. Enjoy the BEE farm, and BEE happy! LOL. Take care and God bless you real good!!

  9. Your entry is so attractive; I remember when you had that hand railing installed. Hope the fridge repair wasn't too costly and you've plenty of space for the upcoming holidays. Have fun tomorrow at the farm. It's supposed to be freezing here.

  10. Hope the fridge repair didn't cost too much, Terri. These days it seems there's always something that's breaking down in the appliance department. They just don't make things like they used to. Blessings!

  12. I hope the fridge repair was not too expensive!! It sounds like you had a great weekend and you have lots to look forward to this week. One of our associate pastors and her husband (also a UMC pastor at another church) are bee keepers. Their honey is sooo good!!
