1) Much of the video for this week's song takes place in a convertible and on the beach. How's the weather where you are? Hot and humid. Would you be comfortable riding around with the top down today? It is too hot for convertibles until possibly December, so no I would not be comfortable.
2) This video was filmed all around Katy Perry's hometown of Santa Barbara. Amtrak runs through Santa Barbara via The Pacific Surfliner. Tell us about a memorable train trip. I used to use Amtrak to commute into DC from Gaithersburg, Maryland. Nothing memorable about that, but I did take friends on a train from DC to Harper's Ferry, WVA. That was a fun trip!
3) Katy sings that her boyfriend thinks she's funny, even when she gets the punchline wrong. Do you think you're a better joke-teller or audience? I am a terrible joke teller, so my answer is for the audience.
4) Her "teenage dream" lover is shown working out with a heavy bag. When is the last time you visited a gym? Over 30 years. I joined one for two weeks. Not my thing.
5) Katy changes her hair a lot. She's gone from long black hair to cropped blonde hair with stops at red, green and purple. Today, are you having a good hair day? I am having a GREAT hair day, thanks to my barber Teena. I have to quit telling her what to do and just let her do her thing. It is perfect right now! Thank you, Teena! (yes, she reads my blog!) I was there on Wednesday!
6) Katy thinks dimples are "irresistible" and can't help poking a finger when a dimpled friend smiles. Do you have dimples? Nope. No dimples.
7) Two of Katy's fragrances (Meow and Purr) are sold in cat-shaped bottles. Are you wearing a scent as you answer these questions? Perfumes and strong scents give me horrid headaches. There is no perfume in our house (but I would probably love the cat-shaped bottles!).
8) Katy's favorite dessert is ice cream (specifically Cold Stone Creamery's Birthday Cake Remix). What's the last dessert you ate? Blue Bunny mini ice cream cones. Love those little bites!!
9) Random question: How often do you change your bedsheets? Every two weeks is our usual.

Hot and humid here, too. (But I'll take that any day over Phoenix's blast furnace-like weather.) Having a great 'hair guru' is such a blessing! I'd love to hear more about your friends' train trip some day!

Myra, Joe and I loved Harper's Ferry and drove there frequently from our home in Northern Virginia. Elaine (BFF) and Jim were visiting and we decided it would be fun to take the train rather than drive up for the day. It was very nice. That's really all there is to it.

Love your answer about your hair. We don't like those perfumey scents and I'm not a gym person either. I do diffuse oils, but they are mild. I had forgotten about the little cones. Jay would like that and I would feel better about giving him ice cream every day.

ReplyDeleteEvery two weeks here, too. And I've not had a good hair day. Got it cut earlier this week and it's way too short. Thankfully, my hair grows fast.
