The weekends are flying by... but soon I'll have six Saturdays and one Sunday again. Soon.
My Friday started with my annual mammogram at 7:15, followed by a bone scan at 8:00. I got those done and still made it to work by 9:00. Remember when it used to take two weeks to get test results? Before dinner time, I knew that my mammogram was clear and my bone scan showed normal for "a female in my age group". Whatever that means. LOL But praise God for the good results!
My boss and his wife hosted dinner at their house on Saturday. Monika was there too. We had a Mexican feast and played our favorite marble aggravation board game. Strawberry cake from Publix for dessert. Lots of fun and so good.
Yesterday was Sunday school and church. I did laundry, as usual. I usually clean some, but the HVAC folks are coming back this afternoon to clean the vents in the house. They got rained out on Friday and couldn't finish, so I figured that might cause some dust in the air. That was my excuse to skip it, and I'm sticking to it.
This is a crazy busy week. I have something after work every day. It's not all bad, but it's just busy. HVAC folks today. The Anchor & Barrier folks for under the house tomorrow. Lunch with my friend, Bonnie, at Reececliff on Wednesday. Lunch with neighbors, Dee and Bill, at Saigon Bistro on Thursday, and a happy 88th birthday lunch for Shirley on Friday.
I'm counting down the days to retirement.
It's amazing how quickly those results come back now! Glad yours were good.
ReplyDeleteYou have a busy but good week coming up.
I have my mammogram on Wednesday. So good to hear that your tests came out fine. Have a great week, Terri!
ReplyDeleteIts always appreciated to find out results without all the waiting and anxiety... have a great week... sounds like a busy one for sure
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting all that medical stuff done. I am determined that I will never do the 'pinch test' ever again. It's too painful. They've got to come up with a different way of checking that.
ReplyDeleteToday is trash day, laundry, a minor fix to the A/C ducting in the attic, bleach the A/C drain line, killed fire ants in the yard, wrapped gifts for a birthday party this approaching weekend, etc. Now it's time for lunch coffee. I think we've both earned it. *giggle*
Love from Gawga. 💙
So glad to hear all the tests are good! Busy weekend and busy week. Enjoy every minute you can. Hoping you are blessed in every way this week.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the great test results! (Yes, waiting is the worst!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy week you've got planned; and by comparison I feel like a slug. Now for sure, the days will fly -- until you begin counting hours. Wow.
Hey, I had my mammo last week too, and just got my results today. They mailed them to me. All is well, praise God! Is this your last Monday at work? Or do you have to work Labor day? I hope not. Anyway, I know you are more than ready for this new retirement. Praying it all goes well for you and that you will enjoy every day to the fullest. Sounds like you've got a busy week this week, and then you can slow down a bit after that...right???LOL. We stay busier now than we did before retirement it seems. LOL. Take care and relax when you can.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all glad your two results were good. You don't have much time left to work. Do you have any plans for your retirement? You keep really busy with friends every night and church.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your test came back good, it's always a relief to get good results. Yep, you have a busy week ahead, hope it all goes well.
ReplyDeleteGlad your doc appointment went well with good results!!
