More About You...
Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4..
1. What are you best known for in your family or among friends? Gosh, I don't know. My cooking perhaps. I'm a crazy cat lady but love all animals. They can count on me.
2. Were you popular in school? I wasn't part of the homecoming queen set but I had good friends, went to parties, went to the prom, and the teachers liked me.
3. Would you rather take a drive in the country or shop in town on a day off? Definitely a drive in the country.
4. Are you a member of any societies, clubs, or associations or were you at any time? Did you enjoy them? I was in several of those while I was working but am not anymore. SHRM-Society of Human Resource Managers; Republican Women of Lakeland. RCCW-Resurrection Council of Catholic Woman; DAR- Daughters of the American Revolution; many committees with the museum for work; GWFC- United Women's Club of Lakeland. I've got a bunch of badges in a drawer somewhere. I did enjoy them but it's too expensive and/or not relevant for a person who is retired.
I would describe you as someone who is easy to like, friendly and dependable, a woman of faith and a cat lover!
ReplyDeleteYep, a drive in the country over the city, anyday! We do everything possible to stay out of Houston. The Medical Center is deep in the city somewhere, and we've had to go there on a few occasions, the stress of it all made me feel sicker than I was to begin with. lol Hope your day is a GREAT one. Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteI understand cat lady. I have a cat and my daughter in law has several including a Momma who just had 6 kittens.
ReplyDelete"Be Thou My Vision oh Lord of my Heart..." Love that old hymn. I bet you would have been a wonderful friend in high school. I know you are a wonderful friend now. So thankful that we "met", both here and in reality!
ReplyDeleteI've never had a cat, except the barn cats that lived on the farm with us. But I definitely am a crazy dog mom.
ReplyDeleteBeing someone who animals AND other people can count on is a rare -- but valuable trait.
ReplyDeleteCount me in the country drive team!
While I was on committees and did my part with both church and school, I realized as the years passed that I really don't like doing that. I was a "team player" but often resented the requirements put on me to work on a project.
ReplyDeleteAs for popular in school, I went to 13 different schools, (4 different states and two countries) Kindergarten - high school graduation, so no, I was not popular because many people didn't even know my name.
Regarding what I'd like to do on a day off, since we live in such a rural part of Florida anyway, I'd like a good day of shopping. Just being honest here...
I was done with "people" when I finished work!
ReplyDeleteIn light of how awful people can be to animals, being good to your animals is a very big deal in my book. Thanks for joining in!!
