The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Thanks to Joyce for today's Hodgepodge of questions!  Join the fun HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 566

From this Side of the Pond

1. What is one cliche you think is nonsense? What's one you think holds truth?

"There's no such thing as a stupid question."  is nonsense because I've heard some pretty stupid questions.  But it also holds truth, especially from little kids who are just trying to learn.  "Don't judge a book by its cover." holds truth.

2. What's the last thing you broke and how did it happen?  A couple of eggs that I had for breakfast.  It was on purpose.  (Sorry, it's been a while since I broke something.)

3. Are you a fan of s'mores?  Sure.  Have you had a s'more this summer?  Nope.  It's been YEARS since I had a s'more.  Last thing you ate that you wanted to ask for 's'more of'It's easier to ask what I don't want s'more of. LOL

4. A mode of transportation you've never tried?  I've done car, truck, bus, train, plane, ski-do, snowmobile, boat, cruise ship, walk, run, bicycle, horse, bicycle cab, horse-drawn buggy...  I'm not sure what's left.  I've yet to do a zipline, a unicycle, or a bike built for two.  Will you someday?  No interest in any of those.

5. Believe it or not, next week's Hodgepodge lands in a brand new month. What's your happiest memory from the month we're bidding adieu?  Lunch/Dinner with friends; survived Debby; good mammogram results; getting work done on the house; planning retirement from part-time work...  all happy things!

6. Insert your own random thought here.   I was talking with one of the HVAC techs who was at the house yesterday, cleaning my AC vents.  He is from Egypt but loves Italy and all things Italian.  I asked if he had been to Mazzaro's Italian Market in St. Pete.  He said 'no' then asked if I had been to Moschella's in Wesley Chapel.  I had to say 'no'.  He gave me the website.  One of my first road trips, after I am done working, will be HERE!!

Peace and Hugs!

Praise the Lord! His mercy is more!
Stronger than darkness, new every morn,
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more!

  1. I love S'mores but haven't had a real one in years.
When I was in middle school, my uncle and aunt had a bike built for two. We loved to ride it when we visited them. They lived in a quiet neighborhood with lots of places to ride. Good memories!
No zip lines or unicycles for me though!
    That restaurant looks marvelous!

  4. Cruise ships hold zero appeal for me. All those people and all that motion. No thank you : ) I love a great restaurant tip. Enjoy your visit there!

  7. #2? That's brilliant! I'm right there with you on what I usually don't want s'more of.
I need to put Moschella's on the List (capital letter on purpose). Here's another for your road trip: Felice's deli in Palm Harbor (http://www.felicedeli.com/). They made fresh mozzarella every morning but were known to sell-out by noon. I get misty (lol) remembering how the milk would run out when you'd unwrap the white bakery paper. *Sigh*

  10. Yummm!! I looked at that website! I'm trying to remember the Italian place we used to go to with Lisa and George years ago. I know that's where I first had margherita pizza and loved it.
