This Week's Hodgepodge!!

Thank you for this week's fun, Joyce!!  Y'all can join in HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 552

From this Side of the Pond

1. What are you currently juggling in your life?  Work, housework, pets, bills... just like everyone.

2. How often do you buy new clothes? What was the last piece of clothing you purchased?  I don't buy a lot of clothing but I did see some Tall slacks for a great price last week and ordered two pairs.  They haven't come yet.  I'm still wearing things I've had for a dozen years.  I admit that I am sometimes embarrassed when pictures are taken and I have on the same top I wore 10 years ago in a similar shot!

3. What food festival would you most like to attend? If you need help here are links to some of the bigger and more popular food events around the world-

20 Popular Food Festivals Around The World In 2024 For Your Unconditional Love Of Food

I didn't look at the lists because a food festival is not something I've ever thought about.  I just don't like crowds of people.  Put me in a smaller group with fresh seafood and pasta and call me a happy girl.

4. May is the 5th month of the year. Tell us something you remember about your 5th-grade year.  1962 - Fifth grade:  Mrs. Whittington.  I started playing trumpet in 5th grade and made new friends because that was the year we moved from the town I was born in, to Millersport, Ohio.  New house, new neighborhood, new school.  My BFF Elaine and her family lived across the street and we are still friends over 60 years later!  We were a block from school.  It was a great place to grow up!!

5. What are your favorite five words right now?  1. blessed, 2. brilliant, and 3.4.5 thank you, Jesus!!

6. Insert your own random thought here.  A big thank you to my prayer partners who have been praying for Danon and Cindy.  Danon gets to go home on Sunday!!  My friend, Cindy, has her worrisome procedure this morning at 11:15.  Lift her up, please.

My cat, Casper, goes to the Vet this afternoon for his annual shots.
Always fun getting cats in carriers.

Peace and Hugs!!

Psalm 104:24-25
"All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all".

  2. I'm right there with you on well-loved clothes! It never occurred to me to be embarrassed; I just hope others won't remember. Count me out of the food festival, too. My favorite 5 words are, "Let's go out to eat."

  4. Enjoyed your answers. We've been to Buckeye Lake and I think it's about time for us to go back. Your home was very pretty and I love your first day of school picture. I could be very happy with some seafood and some pasta. We may have to get some after my appointments this afternoon. Have a great day!

  6. Fifth grade was a year I really remember, Terri, as I had great classmates and wonderful teachers. I'll continue prayers for Cindy, and I'm so relieved that Danon is going home on Sunday. God is so good!

  7. 1967, I think, I definitely remember. I was still in shock over suddenly losing my mother and trying to adjust to a first step-mother who did not have my best interests at heart. My life had been turned upside down. It's like the whole world shifted on it's axel. Not my favorite time in history. My life is so much better now. Knowing Jesus truly changes everything for the better. I wouldn't go back for all the money in Fort Knox. xx

  9. Responding to the question about 5th grade: moved from Venice, California to Cypress, California; got my own bedroom (didn't have to share with Sister). A pretty good year.

Your 5th grade year sounds good, too!

  10. I am like you about clothes - I need to get some myself - but I hate to spend the money.
I do like food festivals - but I understand you about the crowds.
Fifth grade was a tough year for me!
