Thanks to our hostess, Joyce, for this week's Hodgepodge!! You can be a Hodgepodger HERE!
Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 550
2. What's something you wish you'd placed in a time capsule fifteen years ago? Oh, gosh. Some extra cash, perhaps. I don't look back with regrets or wishes. There are too many blessings that have moved me forward...
3. Are you adventurous? Maybe, a little. Elaborate. I am usually ready for a little adventure. We moved to Florida on a whim 35 years ago. I had my own business for four years. That was a huge adventure!!
4. Something you want to make this year? It can be a new recipe, craft, DIY project, a milestone you've set for yourself...anything at all. There is a big closet purge ahead and also some painting and some refurbishing in a couple of rooms...
5. Cinco de Mayo was also celebrated this past weekend...do you like Mexican food? Yes, I do. If so what's your favorite dish? I order a taco salad most often but I also like burritos. Have you ever been to Mexico? No. Margarita-yes or no? Yes!
6. Insert your own random thought here. Thanks to those who added Danon to your prayer lists. He had to be at the hospital early this morning, with surgery starting 8:00ish a.m. It's a big surgery with a long rehab so please keep lifting him up!! Thanks!!

I'm not a bourbon fan, and haven't ridden a horse except when I was a kid. But I do like KY - the home of the Derby and bourbon. :)
ReplyDeletePraying all goes well with Danon.
Dry red or dry white wine and Blue Moon beer are my go-to treats. Only one of either treat helps me sleep at night.
ReplyDeleteEvery year I try to purge all the junk that somehow collects in our tiny home. If it can't be given away or sold, I trash it.
Yes, praise God from whom ALL blessings flow! Amen! He is the source of all that is good.
Blessings to you my friend. 💙
I went back to catch up and will add your boss to my prayers. Back surgery is a big deal and I hope he has a good outcome with his. We need to repaint our interior but the job is daunting and I know will be expensive. Good luck with your projects! Have a great day Terri.
ReplyDeleteWhoa Nellie.. loved to ride as well, nice pic. Prayers as well for your boss.
ReplyDeleteYou're a very wise lady, your answer to #2 proves that! ♥ When I was still a little girl (long ago and far away), for a short time we lived in the Texas Valley, very close to Mexico. Daddy took all of us there for supper one night, it was so great and very different from what I was used to. It was a great adventure. Hope you're enjoying a Wonderful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteThese were fun questions from Joyce this week. I think you must be very adventurous! Love the picture of you on the horse.
ReplyDeleteI certainly will continue in prayer for Danon, Terri! I enjoyed your answers here and I think you look right at home perched in the saddle.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
You have indicated before that you don't look back with regrets or wishes. That speaks to me every time I see it. Acceptance and moving forward is the way to go, and you do that.
ReplyDeleteCute photo, Terri! Yes, we watched the Derby. The highlight for me was knowing no horses were injured and had to be put down like in prior years. That nearly ruined the sport for me. I love Mexican food, and usually order the taco salad ... with guac and sour cream. As a matter of fact, I'm going to strongly suggest we do that very soon.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the money - lol. We moved to GA on a whim in 1986. I have never been to the Derby and I do not like bourbon. I guess I am boring. Do love Mexican food.
