What a special weekend I had!!
Judy and I went to Mayfaire on Saturday morning. It started at 9:00 and we arrived shortly after to crowds of people who had the same idea - to beat the heat. It was fun walking and looking, and both of us found something to purchase. Judy got a cute ceramic cat head and front paws that sit sweetly on the edge of a flower pot. She misses having a cat. I didn't take a picture of hers, but here is a picture of the print I purchased. It will go in the bathroom and looks like both of my orange cats. Casper does this and I have a note on the toilet for guests to please close the lid when done because Casper drinks from the bowl. Yes. You thought only dogs do this!
Here are a few pictures I took as we walked around...
Judy wanted to treat me to lunch at her favorite lunch spot, Brit's. That was a sweet treat and not necessary, as I told her. I was happy for her company at Mayfaire. They were still serving breakfast so we both had eggs and extras. It was very good.
Yesterday, Mother's Day, started with Sunday school and church. The women all got a sweet remembrance of the day as we came in. A lip balm with a cross decal on the case in this sweet pink gift bag.
When I got home, I decided to treat myself to Chinese delivery so I made that order online and then got my laundry started. There are a dozen things I should be working on but I decided to take the day off from any other chores. I got texts from loved ones and a phone call and gift from Jeff. Joey will probably call today since it was late last night as I was writing this. Darlene has been sick and they don't have many employees helping with the horses right now. I know they are both exhausted.
I also spoke with Mali and she said Danon might be up for visitors today so I will check in before I head that way after work.
Wishing you all a blessed week ahead!
Peace and Hugs!!

That sounds like a delightful weekend. Nice Mom's day gift from the Church too.
ReplyDeleteIt's been cool, still is, here. Loving this rain. Such a blessing.
Have a great week gal. 💙
Not to shabby at all for a weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a nice weekend. I know Mayfaire is always such fun! The print you got is so fun!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope Danon is doing better. It's been a long recovery for him.
I love going to festivals such as this. My daughter is my go to for asking to come along. I rarely buy anything these days but I love looking at all the creative things. I did not know cats drank out of the bowl. All of my dogs would gladly receive all of their water that way. I had one once who would wait for you to flush and run over.
ReplyDeleteGlad you gave yourself permission to just rest yesterday. I need to do that more often.
I would love Mayfair! We have similar events here, I won't be going for a while though. The picture was funny and I think your guest will get a smile while visiting your potty room lol
ReplyDeleteMayfaire looks so fun! I think I would really enjoy that. Love your new print and I think it will look awesome hanging in your bathroom, especially with the shower curtain you showed us the other day. Your weekend sounds perfect! Have a great day today and I hope Danon will be up to having you visit today.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you can stop and take care of yourself like that. Oops about your cat drinking the water.
ReplyDeleteNice your friend took you out - looks like you had a wonderful weekend.
That kitty print is so cute; no wonder you were drawn to bring it home! The weather looks perfect for a stroll. I just said a quick prayer for Darlene; they must work so hard, so many hours. But what a great cause!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great and relaxing weekend you had, Terri! Mayfaire certainly is a delightful annual event, and the cat print you bought is priceless. No, I never knew cats would drink out of a toilet - lol!
ReplyDeleteSo happy, too, that Danon is doing so well and wants to have visitors. Know he and the family continue in my prayers, and keep us updated on his health when you can.
Blessings!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. I love the picture of the cat in the toilet! LOL. We have neighborhood cats who like to drink out of our bird bath, and I saw a yellow cat drinking out of a red bucket of water that has a plant in it waiting to be planted. Sometimes they drink out of the pond, but it has been getting rather dry lately around the edges and so is mucky to step on to get to the water. The cats don't like that. LOL. Love that you were able to enjoy Mayfaire with your friend and also that you had a lovely Mother's Day. Take care and have a good week.
