Planning

| Seeing ahead |
A wise man once said that most people fall into their lives. They don't plan and carry out what they would like to do, they just fall into things through circumstances. Others plan and prepare for life. They know the kind of person they want to spend their life with, the kind of family, home, or job they wish to have, and make a concerted effort to follow through.
So what about you?
1. Did you plan to be where you are right now in life or did you just end up where you are? We did plan to be in Lakeland and have been here for 34 years. Did I think I would live in Florida when I was a kid... I don't think I ever thought about where I would live, other than with my family.
2. What plans did you make for your future and what plans do you have for the future now or are you just marking time? I never really had a "plan". I have just tried to follow God's plan, once I accepted He was working in my life and I should just let Him do His thing with me. Life is good!!
3. Do you live where you want to live or would you have done things differently when planning where to live? I am right where I am supposed to be.
4. What is planned for this coming Autumn?
- trips or plans with family or friends? I have a long weekend planned with my sister, in Georgia.
- vacations? no vacation planned
- holiday plans?\ I do have Thanksgiving plans!
- Reading list? I don't make a reading list.

What a bitter-sweet post. Even though we ended up exactly where we wanted to be, it still feels like we're drifting at the moment. Perhaps we all are in "neutral" gear waiting with anticipation for our loving Lord to return and take us Home with Him.
ReplyDeleteHappy Heavenly Birthday Joe.
Together we can all get through this.

It's good we know that God's plans are better than ours, right? Most of us would not have thought our lives would be as they are.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of your sweet Joe!
Love that picture of Joe. I expect he is smiling just like that in heaven today. Happy Heavenly Birthday, Joe! We are glad you ended up in Florida so that we could officially meet and maybe see each other more than once a year! I am happy you have some plans for a long weekend in GA. I hope when it is cooler! We also will be in GA for a few days in early October. I can't wait! Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteIts wonderful to have a good life and especially to know God is in charge of it. You cant ask for anything better.
ReplyDeleteHappy Heavenly Birthday to Joe! Blessings to you. I don't make a reading list either. I like to just decide what to read when I want something to read...that makes me happy. That being said, I do like to keep track of what I have read. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture of Joe, he had an infectious smile! Happy Birthday in Heaven to him. I truly believe God put Mr D in my life, even at a young age He knew how much I needed him as my life partner. Hope you're enjoying a terrific Tuesday. ☺♥
ReplyDeleteHappy Heavenly Birthday to Joe! However briefly, I'm so thankful to have met him and got a hug! Not sure where I got it, but I've always been a compulsive planner. God's probably had a lot of chuckles -- but He's patient that way, knowing I'll be coming around again and again, tail between my legs.
ReplyDeleteJoe was such a handsome man with a good sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteHappy Heavenly birthday, Joe!!! I agree with you. You are right where you are supposed to be. Loved your answers! Have a nice week. ♥
