The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Thanks to Joyce for today's Hodgepodge!!  You can join in HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 518

From this Side of the Pond

1. It's National Read A Book Day...whatcha' reading? What's a book you want to read?  I am still reading a series called A Whispering Pines Mystery.  I'm on book 11.  They are cozy mysteries.  Easy reads, interesting characters, and these aren't so easy to figure out who done it so they keep me interested.  I will move on to book 12.  The author is Shawn McGuire.

2. Which is better...having high expectations or low expectations?  I'll choose low expectations.  Explain why.  I can be hopeful that things will turn out better than expected!!  Better that, than to be disappointed.

3. Serenity is Having people to love and to be loved.  My home is serene.

4. What's the most interesting thing in your purse or pocket right now?  My phone is the likely answer.  It has my books, my games, my emails, my contacts...

5. What helps you calm down?  Praying. Giving it to God. Seriously... it works!!

6. Insert your own random thought here.  I am to arrive for my cataract surgery at 11:45 today.  My neighbor, Dee, is taking me.  Watch Facebook for updates if you are connected to me there.  I will also post on my Thursday Fashion blog.  Your prayers are so appreciated!!

Peace & Hugs

Precious Lord, take my hand...

  7. Cozy, easy mysteries are the best! I hope our home is serene too. There are few folks not welcome in my home anymore because that's not respected.
Praying for you today concerning surgery. Looking forward to any updates.
    Blessings. xx

  8. Right there with you on #2! Of late I'm getting distracted no matter what book I'm reading or listening to. Maybe I'll give cozy mysteries a go.
I just saw your post-surgery smile on FB -- looking good!
