Sunday Stealing...

Sunday Stealing - Storyworth

Stolen from Storyworth

1. Did you ever have a commercial you really liked?  The Publix Christmas commercials can actually cause you to cry, they are so beautiful.

2. How did you learn to ride a bicycle?  I don't even remember.

3. How did you celebrate your 21st birthday?  I was already married for two years and I don't think it was celebrated.

4. What fascinated you as a child?  Looney Tune cartoons and The Mickey Mouse Club.

5. What was one of your favorite playground games?  In elementary school, it was called The Giants.  Like a Maypole with chains instead of ribbon and we could fly around that pole!!  We wore shorts under our dresses!  It was so fun and so dangerous!

6. What things matter most to you in life?  My faith, my family, my friends, my home.

7. If you had to go back in time and start a brand new career, what would it be?  I would have enjoyed being an architect, I think, but I wouldn't change anything now.

8. What do people get wrong about you?  I don't know.  This isn't something I've thought about.

9. Do you believe that people can change? Why or why not?  Yes, people can and do change.  Just living life, having experiences, and the different people that cross our paths all cause growth and change.

10. What is some of the best advice your mother ever gave you?  To know when to leave the party.

11. If you could see into the future, what would you want to find out?  Not a thing.

12. How has your life turned out differently than you imagined it would?  There isn't room here to list everything.  I have learned to let go and let God.

13. What is the longest project you have ever worked on?  Preparing for the annual audit each year at the Museum.

14. What have been some of your favorite restaurants through the years?  Any that have seafood on the menu.

15. What is one of the best shows you've ever been to?  The opening scene in 42nd Street gives me goosebumps.  I've seen it on stage several times and love the tap dancing so much!!  The curtain goes up and the taps hit the stage. Awesome!

Peace & Hugs!

I need thee every hour, most gracious Lord
no tender voice like Thine can peace afford...

  1. Yes, Publix commercials can do that, especially around the holidays. And the stores always smell good too, smiles. Have a beautiful Sunday my friend.

  5. I remember the Publix Thanksgiving Commercials - I will have to look for the Christmas ones this year.
Good advice from your mom - when to leave the party - for sure.

  6. I recall the Jungle gym as well as the Merry go Round... now far too dangerous. Somehow I managed to get by with a bunch of scraped knees!

  7. OMW, Terri!!! You're the only other person I know who remembers that Giants. It was my favorite and we'd all race each other to get an available ring. I forget exactly how it worked, but one person would weave around all the others, so when she/he 'took off' they'd fly really high.
Nobody ever voiced concern about it being dangerous ... unlike today. (Nuff said.)
    Thanks for the memories!

  8. Regarding TV commercials, I agree the ones by Publix are good, at Christmas and year around!

  9. I always love reading your answers. I suppose the Publix Christmas commercials are much like some of the older Hallmark card ones. xo Diana

  10. My favorite commercials always have dogs, horses and/or motorcycles in 'em. However, I haven't seen a modern commercial in over 7 years since "cutting the cable". It's wonderful. I'm told most of the new ones are just as bizzare and offensive as when we quit watching TV.
Thankfully, those of us who read God's Holy Word DO know the future, amen?! *grin*
    Blessings xx

  11. Wow - I have never seen nor heard of The Giants. It is amazing the playground equipment we all played on . . .and we survived!

  12. Our priorities are the same, Terri - faith, family and friends. Beautiful trio!
I did like your other answers here, too. I'm with you on the seafood as I love fish and chips, shrimp and crab.
    Happy Sunday!
