Joyce is our lovely hostess and you can be a Hodgepodger HERE!
Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 463
2. What's a food you eat that evokes a memory? Explain. Gnoccis always make me think about Joe's mom. Homemade vegetable soup makes me think of my mom. They were both magicians in the kitchen!
3. This week's Hodgepodge lands on National Visit Your Relatives Day. Will you celebrate by visiting a relative? I would if I could. If so is travel involved? Geographically, who is your nearest relative (not counting those living in your own house)? My granddaughter, Lauren, is the closest. She lives in Naples, FL which is about 2 1/2 hours away. (Grandson Tristan lives in D.C. now.) My sister and my son & DIL are all five hours away in Georgia, one up I-75 and the other up I-95.
4. What's your most frequently used emoji? ❤👍🙏 Do you make more phone calls, send more emails, or mainly text to communicate with friends and family? Text first, FB Messenger second, then phone, followed by email.
5. Tell us the story behind a favorite piece of furniture. My favorite is my recliner. It is my happy place and I can be very possessive about it!! I talked about it in the June 8, 2021, Hodgepodge if you want to check out the archive. My regular readers got tired of my whining and the search for the perfect chair!
6. Insert your own random thought here. I really have an easy week with plenty of time to prepare for my visitor this weekend. I haven't seen Lois in 20 or 25 years but we have remained in touch since we worked together back in the mid-70s. She lost her husband a couple of years ago (not to covid). I am excited to see her again and to catch up on everything!! There will be photos!

Visits with old friends... what could be better! :)

Regarding your answer to #1 on stress, I am convinced one of the many reasons God put YOU into my life is your attitude about stress. You set the example I need to let go and let God take care of things.
ReplyDeleteStress just hurts us…With God in total control…love your attitude…
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a great reunion planned with Lois, Terri. Have lots of fun!

you are a cool, calm, and collected lady! (Remember the Secret commercial?, At least I think that was it...) Anyway, you are a calming type person, and we appreciate that quality in you!
