By the Sea, By the Sea, By the Beautiful Sea...
1. If you lived by the sea would you like to own a boat and what would you name it? No boats by the sea. I would meet the neighbors who have a boat and go out with them now and then. Boats are expensive and require lots of maintenance. I'm too old for that now.
2. Do you enjoy beachcombing? Not especially. What do you especially like to find...shells? sea glass? driftwood? I already have a jar full of shells gathered at the beach. I don't need any more shells
3. Do you have a favorite beach or seaside resort that you enjoy? Tell us a little about it, please. If the beach isn't your thing what is and where do you like to go? I really don't care about the beach anymore because I am prone to skin cancers and you have to carry too much junk with you... umbrellas, towels, sunscreen, snacks, water... When we used to enjoy the beach, we always went to St. Pete Beach. I prefer the Gulf beaches to the Atlantic beaches. A stroll on the hard sand at sunset would still be nice.
4. You are out and about at the seaside and you are so hungry. What foods are you going to try? What about a tropical cocktail? Have one in mind? Over at St. Pete Beach, we loved going to Crabby Bill's for seafood and a cold beer. No sweet tropical cocktails for me, though I have been known to drink a Margarita.

You my friend, are not old. grin---I always enjoy your answers, I pretty much knew what you were going to say, smiles.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I'd rather be good friends with someone who owns a boat and not have to worry about the cost to maintain. I used to enjoy St Pete Beach and the Hurricane's famous mudslide drinks at PassaGrille. Glad to have been there/done that, but don't particularly miss it.
ReplyDeleteLove this blog…you are still and always an inspiration…the ocean is healing for me…years ago when visiting Mother’s place around Interlachen…Ocala…I looked at the ocean…we drove over…and said, God, if you can do this (and He did) you can take care of our son…He did…we usually went to Myrtle in the summers…I actually taught there for five years…I live at the Gulf now to be near family…I love Honeymoon beach and Clearwater but am usually sitting under shade trees at a little park on the ocean…no real sun bathing for this old woman…I don’t even care for the pools here at the complex or the one my son has. I have moved 31 times and must say I have loved living everywhere…so common for people to complain about the weather…lol prayers as you are going through your journey adapting to a new normal
ReplyDeleteP s lol. I can call myself an old woman but don’t want others to do so…not polite…
ReplyDeleteI'd love to live closer to a beach as I love to walk along them, but given a choice, I'll take the mountains every time.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
This was an enjoyable meme/post, Terri. I haven't been to the beach in [way too long].
ReplyDeleteMy brother told us about Crabby Bill's and how much he loved it. We've never been there yet.
ReplyDeleteI loved your answers!!!! So true, all of them!!
