The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Joyce is our amazing Hodgepodge hostess and you can be a Hodgepodger HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 462

From this Side of the Pond

1. What do you never get tired of?
Coming home; being at home.

2. My mother made the best homemade noodles, and vegetable soup!

3. What machine or appliance in your home aggravates you the most?  My computer.  Why?  It doesn't always work as fast as my fingers do.

4. What are three things that brighten up your day when they happen?  A wave or hello from a neighbor; a good cup of strong coffee in the morning; and visits from loved ones.

5. Thursday (May 12) is National Limerick Day...write a limerick relating to spring weather, spring blooms, or a spring event (five lines, the first two lines rhyme with the fifth line, and the third and fourth lines rhyme together).  I am not good at poetry and I am doing this after my friends left, already past my bedtime.  I found this one online and like it...

Rain rain go away come back another day Skies are pouring liquid sunshine listen to what I say Can't bring me down No sad face or frown Flying high nothing can stand in my way.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  My church group all liked the sliders and my baked beans. There are five deviled eggs left and I have some fruit salad left.  Two requested the recipes for the sliders.  Whew.  It is way past my bedtime so I need to finish this.  I will catch up on visiting y'all tomorrow!!

Peace & hugs!
God's love is steadfast
and unchanging!

  1. I love poetry and have quite a few poetry books. I should get them out to read some. Enjoy your day!

  2. Being at home is my favorite, too!
I do remember, it's not easy having activities/guests on a 'school night.' Dr. Myra recommends you indulge in a good nap this afternoon. (*grin*)

  3. I agree on the computer, but mine is new and it's doing well now. Hopefully it will last. I'd love to have the recipe for the sliders too.

  4. You are amazing to entertain in your home on work nights. I used to do a lot of things like that when I was young, but now I can barely get our own meals together it seems. I need to perk up and take lessons from you! LOL. "There's no place like home..." I agree. Hope the rest of your week is grand.

  5. I couldn't write a limerick either and "borrowed" one from the internet! I, too, would love the recipe for your sliders!
