Monday's Weekend Recap...

Not much to report for the actual weekend, but Thursday was the Mas Verde dinner night.  We went to Tapatio's for Mexican.  Friday...

On Friday the regional office held a luncheon for all the administrative staff.  I hadn't planned to attend but Danon and Paolo told me that was unacceptable.  Danon drove me there! LOL  Nice of them and it was a lovely luncheon.  It was catered.  The food was great, and we all received a cute little gift.

My plate. Had to try a little of each thing.
Pork & chicken BBQ, baked beans, mac n cheese, and pasta salad.
There was a cherry cobbler with ice cream for dessert. So good.

The gift bag was very cute. Note the sunflowers in the ribbon.

In the bag - a little watering can and a planter with sunflower seeds
(must be mini-sunflowers).

Friday evening, I had plans to meet Shirley at Peking House for Chinese.  I was not hungry but had some soup and shrimp salad.  Shirley had beef & broccoli.  We enjoyed our time together.  Snapped this photo!

On Saturday, I washed the bedding in the guest room to get it ready for Lois's visit.  Vacuumed a bit, fixed a couple of things, etc.  I finished the Call The Midwife season.   Sunday was Sunday school and church.  I did more laundry when I got home, finished watching The Gilded Age (I loved it!!), and then watched some more Monk.  Basically a pretty lazy weekend. It was a good thing.

Peace &

Jesus loves us!!

  1. Oh, I love your little watering can and the sunflower seeds/bow. What a cute idea!! Are you allowed to plant them in your neighborhood? Some pretty bright yellow sunflowers would be lovely! How nice that you were able to go to the luncheon! The food sure looks good! I'm so happy you found that job, or should I say that God found that job for you? It seems to have worked out perfectly for you! And so nice you were still able to go out with your friend for Chinese dinner even though you were stuffed! LOL. Sounds like a nice quiet weekend. Sometimes we need that! Hope this is a good week for you. Take care and God bless you all week long.

  3. Gosh Terri, I think you hit the jackpot when it comes to considerate bosses! The sunflower gift is so cute. Like Pam, I'm wondering if you can plant them ... or, like Johnny Appleseed, just strew them here and there. (Heh-heh)
    Have a sweet day!

  5. I love sunflowers! You'll have to keep us up on how yours grow. I'm curious to see if they are a mini variety. I've never seen such a thing and would love to get some if they are a thing. I'm glad you had a nice lazy weekend...that's needed sometimes. Have a blessed week, Terri!

  7. What a nice weekend. It sounds relaxing and entertaining.
I missed SS & Church (!!!!) on Sunday. I've been suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) for awhile and it hit me Sunday morning! :/ My birthday is this week and I was looking forward to all the good wishes we give each other whenever there's a celebration. Such a loving Church. Oh well. It is what it is. :)
    Glad you're doing well.
    Blessings. xx
