How's the Weather?
Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". .
Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The
Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the
blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most
interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!
Weather questions, adapted from Friday Five
1. Have you ever had a vacation ruined by the weather or did you just work
around it? Yes, parts of our trip to Italy were hindered by rain. We didn't get to see the Coliseum in total but did work around it and used our umbrellas and ponchos.
2. What small changes do you feel people could make to give the planet a fighting chance against global warming? I'm sure humans haven't helped our planet but warming and cooling have gone on for thousands of years, and long before automobiles and nuclear reactors.
3. Are you adversely affected by the weather, such as SAD? No.
4. How is the weather where you are and have you seen drastic changes in it during your lifetime? I live in Florida and have been here for 30+ years. It has been pretty much the same with hurricane exceptions. So no drastic changes.
5. Do you think we can stop global warming or is it too late? I don't think it is up to us...
6. What could you do for an hour or so today that you would really enjoy doing? I am doing it! Watching The Patriot on TV and writing this blog on the evening of the 4th.
7. What could you do for an hour today that might improve your life in the future? I did laundry Tuesday so I wouldn't have to do it on the holiday. Can that count?
8. What could you do for an hour today that could strengthen or improve a skill you would like to be able to rely on? This day is nearly done (evening of the 4th). I may work on some mending, using my new sewing machine, Sunday, though.
9. What could you do for an hour today that would make your living space more pleasant to live in? I am writing this the evening of the 4th so cleaning was done on the third and "today" being Sunday, going to church, and praising God makes living much more pleasant, wherever I am!
10. What could you do for an hour today that would improve your relationships with loved ones? Oh gosh, what's with the "hour" thing? I hold all my loved ones close and dear to my heart and always try to let them know I love them.
11. Do you like, dislike, or pay no attention to the wind? I pretty much don't pay attention to the wind unless it is a hurricane coming!
12. Do you have allergies or sinus made worse by the wind? Only when it carries pollen, Fall & Spring.
13. Have you ever been caught in a big wind (not a hurricane or tornado)? Not that was memorable enough to recall right now.
14. When was the last time you flew a kite? I can't even remember. Years and years.
15. Would you like to have the power of flight? I don't think so. It doesn't appeal to me.

We had a nice lunch/supper with friends Helen & Cheryl yesterday. We normally would have attended a pot-luck at the clubhouse for the 4th but it is still closed for gatherings.
Off to church this morning!
So happy to be worshipping with other believers!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

Fun questions and answers today. I wanted to watch "The Patriot" last night, but Tim didn't. We ended up watching a comedy special instead. Enjoy church and your day!
ReplyDeleteI dont like heavy winds so dont envy you when a hurricane happens. Enjoy church with friends this morning. Hugs and blessings!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the global warming garbage, Terri. Hope you have a great time at church!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThe real reason why we don't move back south is because of the weather, sigh. After loosing everything in a EF 5 tornado, it was time to make changes. ANYWAYS, No debbie downing, lol...have a great Sunday friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri D.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers as usual!
Have a great Sunday.
I am always amazed at the weather myself.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post!
Have a good day.
What a great response to #5, Terri! Not sure why, but I've taken to doing one load of laundry 4-5 times a week and setting the heavy items out on a rack in the sun room. Hate running the dryer and heating up the house unnecessarily. Hope your in-person church service was an enJOYable time!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on Global warming and your answer to #5.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to spend some time with Helen and Cheryl. The Patriot was the perfect movie for the date!
Glad you had a good time yesterday, and out to church today. We had our first Sunday back today, and it was SO wonderful! Even with all the restrictions and rules, we were just plain happy to be together again. God is so good. Have a blessed week!!!
ReplyDeleteGood answers to #2 & 5. I don't think there is a global warming, it's just a cycle the earth goes through. Gee, there was a lot of hours in this Sunday Stealing, I bet your tired. lol Have a great week.
