February 20th: My Friday Focus

Happy Friday to you all!  Friday already?!!

I don't have a lot to focus on.  I've been catching up on projects this week.  I cleaned out both freezers and the pantry.  I've been preparing for friends who arrive on Sunday.  The bed is made.  I've been putting off cleaning until Saturday - cat hair! LOL  (IYKYK)

I went to Bible study yesterday morning, and then went to Mister Carwash down the street to have my car washed and cleaned inside.  They always do a good job, plus I had a $5.00 off coupon!

The Mas Verde Thursday Dinner Group went to Metro Diner last night.  There were seven of us.  I had eggs and hashbrowns for dinner.  It is always good to catch up with friends over a meal!

I am still walking with Susan, Sandy, and Sharon each morning. It's good exercise, and we always have something to discuss!!

Today, I'm off to Publix and Sam's Club, and I'll do a little more puttering around the house.

That's all I've got on this lovely Friday at nearly the end of February.  I already have St. Patrick's Day decorations sitting out, here and there.  Time is flying.

Peace and Hugs!

In the old rugged cross,
Stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see;
For 'twas on that old cross
Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

  1. Wow, you have been a busy gal! I am looking at all my Valentine's decor and thinking it's time for St. Patrick to appear...so you have given me some inspiration to get a move on! I'm tired of "seeing red", and my eyes would appreciate a little "green" for a change. Just wish it was green outside! LOL. We sure need rain. Anyway, I am happy you are going to have your friends down for a visit. How long are they staying? I know you always enjoy their company! I'm happy you have some friends to walk with each day. We have gotten out of our walking routine and need to get back to it. My body is telling me it's time! Have a lovely weekend!!!

  2. Good for you for sticking with the walking. I've just completed my treadmill walk, always feels good to do that.
Feels good to get the car washed too!

  3. Glad you are walking faithfully. That makes such a difference in overall wellbeing...at least I think so. The Old Rugged Cross was my father's very favorite hymn and the first one I learned to play on the old upright piano. xo Diana

  6. The morning walks sound so good--especially with the milder weather!

  7. Yours sounds like such a pleasant, no-stress kind of week!
I meant to tell you, I was sooo excited when, in Georgia last week, I spotted a Cheddars. Unfortunately, the experience paled in comparison to Dallas (ca. 1985). I just don't know which of us has changed.
    Love your new background!

    1. Our Cheddar's isn't as good as it used to be. Several of us were disappointed last week, when the group went to Cheddar's. My food was room-temperature cold and so were two others'. They can have a bad night too, I guess, but we'll wait a bit before we go back there.

  8. One good thing about company coming to stay with you, is you get things done that you normally wouldn't do otherwise LOL! Looking forward to our walk tomorrow morning! There is nothing better than a nice clean car too!

    1. Joe used to say it's good to have company come because things get done around the house! It's true! LOL

  11. Terri, I need to get my car washed too. However, the pollen season is right around the corner.
