Good Monday, my friends! I am writing this on Sunday evening, before the Super Bowl ends (not watching it), and plan to go to bed after the All-American Halftime Show (alternative). There hasn't been a decent Super Bowl halftime show for years and years, in my humble opinion. Bring in some college marching bands, please!! Football games need marching bands!!
My weekend was pretty much uneventful. I did some cleaning, some laundry, and FINALLY did my first cutout on my Cricut. It was instructional, not something I created, but I at least got it plugged in, downloaded what needed to be downloaded on my computer, and now I can watch the video (one hour) that came with it. I wish I had someone who uses a Cricut to sit with me for an hour or so. I will take a deep breath and get to it!! I have been having fun with ChatGPT and made a couple of caricatures.
I mentioned last week that my church was having a potluck after services yesterday. My casserole had about one spoonful left when I headed home. I just left it. Some people were going back for seconds. I'm sure it would be gone. Chicken, rice, broccoli, cheese, some onion, etc. Here is the recipe I use. A couple of folks asked for it. See my notes and just make it your own. I rarely follow a recipe exactly!
This morning, I am walking with my neighbor friends, and later I am meeting up with Cheryl and her hubby, Pat, for lunch downtown. They are only here for another week or so. I'm happy to see them again before they head back to Indiana. I'll remember to get a photo!!
If some of you prayer warriors still have my neighbors on your prayer lists, Paul is doing chemo again, but is on the transplant floor at the Orlando Cancer Center now, and we are all hoping they get his numbers where they need to be so that a bone marrow transplant can finally happen. I am so proud of Anne that she is driving herself to see him!! Praise God. Keep praying, please!
My week is wide open after lunch today! Seems like a good time to tackle the Cricut!! Wish me luck!

I will be praying for Anne and Paul this week. May God provide that bone marrow donor, and may everything come together for his healing. Praying for Anne as she drives to Orlando. She's brave! I'm glad you posted your recipe with YOUR modifications. I like how you do it better than the original recipe, although using the canned chicken breast would be okay in a pinch. It all sounds good. I wish you good luck with your Cricut machine. Benton and Rose have a Silhouette machine, which I think is similar. I'm not crafty enough to want to even attempt it. LOL. So we will look forward to seeing all the fun things you create with it. Your Chatgpt pictures are really cute. And YES, to the marching bands for a half time show. I did watch the TPUSA show, it was okay, but I didn't understand any of the singers,, except a little bit of the last song by KidRock when I heard him say "Jesus", in a good way. But frankly, I was a bit disappointed in the rest of the show, mainly because I didn't know any of the performers and had no idea what they were singing. At least it was clean and decent. But yes, I'd love to see the marching bands again at half time shows. They used to put on really great shows!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your not so busy week and get lots of things figured out on your Cricut. Oh, and have a nice lunch with Cheryl and Pat. Tell Cheryl I am sorry we couldn't figure out how to get together this time. Maybe the next time they come down the weather will be nicer than it has been recently and things won't be so crazy. (((HUGS)))
That recipe looks absolutely yummy!! I'm saving it! I confess I had to google Cricut because I had no idea what it it, haha! Have fun! I LOVE your ChatGPT pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on Paul, I've been wondering how he was.
ReplyDeleteI love your ChapGPT pics, the one with the grands is a treasure!
Thanks for the recipe - it looks good. Have a fun day!
There is a learning curve with the Cricut but the only way to learn is to do!!! Here is a YouTube that is helpful to me!

THANKS!!
DeleteCongratulations on getting your Cricut set up and I love the caricature. It looks just like the photo.
ReplyDeletePrayers for Paul and Anne continue, Terri! I loved your ChatGPT creations, too. Cute and clever! Have a marvelous Monday!
ReplyDeleteYour ChatGPT pictures are so cool! How clever that you can do that. I know you'll figure out your Cricut now because you are so smart! If I knew anything about it, I'd be happy to sit with you. I can still sit with you, but we might not get anything done! LOL! Yes, prayers are certainly needed for Paul and Anne!
ReplyDeleteThe only interest I have in the Super Bowl is the movie and TV trailers they show during it. It sounds like you had fun with your Cricut! I love all the ChatGPT caricatures. Yours are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well for Paul and his numbers get where they need to be!
Okay I am sorry Paul is back on chemo. :(
ReplyDeleteI had no interest in the Superbowl or halftime show either. Wonder if their numbers were down? I would love to know.
You are having fun on your Cricut.
I would love to know how you did your caricature on AI. I see everyone doing it. sandie
Honestly, that Cricut sounds a bit intimidating; but if anyone can do it, my money's on you! Those ChatGPT images are such fun, aren't they? You look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this detail on the casserole; already I'm saving it. BTW, the sausage-and-cabbage stir-fry came out great. It's a keeper!
Yay! Glad you liked it!!
DeleteHi Terri! Sounds like you had a good weekend. I love the cute Chat GPT images. Enjoy your week and have fun with your Cricut!
