Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 640
1. What's something recent that had you 'tickled pink'? I ordered two new skillets from Amazon, and the largest one came yesterday! Silly to be tickled pink about a new skillet, but I love it and did throw the one it's replacing in the trash. The second one is two inches smaller and is due in a few days. Hard to get it all in a picture, but here it is...
2. A bed of roses, everything's coming up roses, every rose has its thorn, stop and smell the roses, rose-colored glasses, a rose among thorns... Which rosy expression might currently be applied to your life in some way? Everything's coming up roses! I have friends coming to visit soon!! My BFF Elaine, hubby Jim, and pup Bella will be here on the 23rd for two weeks. A week after them, Blogging friend Mari and hubby Bob will be here for almost a week!! How blessed am I!!!
3. What makes you feel loved and appreciated? That friends (new and old) want to visit and spend time here!
4. A box of chocolates or a bouquet of fresh flowers-what's your pleasure? Any special plans for Valentine's Day? I am not a flower person, so I will choose the chocolates every time. No 'romantic' plans for the 14th, but I did ask my friend, Cheryl (Helen's niece), if she would like to see Jesus Christ Superstar at our Community Theater on the 14th. She is up for it, so we got tickets and will get dinner before the play. Joe and I used to have season passes for the Lakeland Community Theater. It's been years since I've attended anything there, so I'm looking forward to it.
5. Share a favorite quote, scripture, or song lyric relating to love. 1 Corinthians...
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
6. Insert your own random thought here. I am enjoying the Olympic figure skating and the skiing from Italy. I am sad that the 'ice dancing' has been replaced with rhythm dance. We'll never again see the grace and elegance of Torvill and Dean, and other ice dancers. The rhythm dance is exciting, but this is beautiful...

I guess I didn't realize the rhythm dance replaced ice dancing. I have enjoyed the rhythm dancing though. Have fun with all your February house guests!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the "free dance" will be more like the ice dancing I like, but when I looked it up, it said the rhythm dance appeals to younger audiences and that is why it was changed.
DeleteYour new pan looks like a nice one. I get excited about things like that too and I'm thinking it's soon time for me to order one as well.
ReplyDeleteWe are very excited for March!
Ahh! My tickled pink thing was new pans too, it's not silly at all! I am very, very happy about mine!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have friends visiting soon and have a great time at the community threater!
I am loving watching the Olympics too. Torvill and Dean were amazing! I love the ChatGPT picture of you!
Sounds like you're in for great times with all those visitors coming, Terri. Enjoy every minute of it and enjoy going to see Jesus Christ, Superstar live. Wow! The ChatGPT picture is absolutely awesome, too. I'm going to have to look into how to do that. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE to see you skating! You are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful that you have two sets of friends coming and one is Mari.
I will take chocolate over flowers too.
I love 1 Corinthians.
What is special about your skillets?
They are new!! LOL
DeleteDear Terri, I love the illustration of you skating! You are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI also prefer chocolate over flowers. Your skillets are lovely!
That's a great picture of you skating Terri. I've just watched the final of the men's ice dance. It wasn't what I expected! You're going to be busy over the next few weeks but I'm sure you'll have a great time with all your visitors.
