November 26th: The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Thanks to our hostess, Joyce, for today's Hodgepodge!  You can join in HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 630

From this Side of the Pond

1. Do you feel like you have a 'full plate' at the moment? In what way?  My plate is full of wonderfulness!!  I am blessed with friends, family, and fun things to do.

2. How did you learn to cook? If you have children, did you teach or encourage them to cook? Do you like to follow a recipe, or is your cooking style more 'let's wing it'?   I am the oldest of four, and my mom relied on me to help in the kitchen, which included cooking.  Both Mom and Dad worked full-time. My boys were 16 and 20 when I entered their lives.  I did not teach them to cook.  My cooking style is more winging it, but I do follow recipes if it is something more involved than just tossing things into a pot.

3. Last time you bit off more than you could chew? Elaborate.  I don't remember a time that threw me off.  I know myself and respect my limits.  I learned to say "no" years ago.

4. When did you last say 'the more the merrier' and mean it?  This week!  Thanksgiving!!  We went from six to 11 for dinner, and a couple more would be fine.  I always say 'the more the merrier' and always mean it.

5. Write an acrostic using the word T-H-A-N-K-S.  I'm not good at it, so I asked AI:

  • Treasuring every moment shared with family and friends.
  • Happy people enjoying special times together.
  • All the small kindnesses that make a difference.
  • New opportunities for growth and learning.
  • Knowing that we are loved and supported.
  • Simple joys, like a warm home and good food.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  I will just tack on here that I'm not doing a Whimsical Fashion Fun post for tomorrow.  Just a Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating!

Peace and Hugs!

Be thankful, always!
