Jumping back to Friday, I had lunch with my friend, Shirley. We made plans to watch our friend, Cindee's, memorial service here at my house, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Shirley will come early so we can have some lunch, and then I will hook my computer to the TV so we can watch the service that will be streamed on Facebook. I ordered flowers and sent my regrets, but told Cindee's daughter we would be watching from Lakeland.
Friday evening was so fun!! My neighbors, Chuck and Susan, have a daughter, Kim, who homeschools their kids. The homeschool co-op has a drama activity, and they put on the play for two days, with three performances. Friday evening was the first performance, and I was able to ride over with Susan and Chuck to see them perform. Two of the kids, Violet and Levi, were in this year's play. It was held in a beautiful Baptist Church, over in Plant City (the next town east of Lakeland). The kids did great!! Kim was one of the directors, and she did great as well!
We arrived early and found good seats! We got to see Kim before the play started. I think she took this picture. Her hubby, David, joined us a little later. Left to right, Chuck, their son Jake, Susan, and me.
On Saturday, Susan, Sandy, and I were off to another Christmas Craft Fair at our civic center (called R.P. Funding Center). It was HUGE and took up two expo centers!! We all made some purchases, and just before we left, look what we did...
Santa took the selfie with us...
It was after 1:00 when we left (we had arrived just before 10:00), so we decided to have lunch at a little diner called Athena before heading home. I am so blessed to have such wonderful neighbors who are also dear friends.
When I arrived at church on Sunday, the sanctuary had been beautifully decorated. I cropped out people so I could post this picture of just the flowers...
I popped into Publix on the way home from church. I still needed a few things ahead of Thanksgiving. I put the turkey in the fridge to start thawing. I also did my two loads of laundry.
Today, I am having lunch with my friend, Cheryl. We are meeting at Cheddar's. I am excited to watch the 30th anniversary special for Everybody Loves Raymond, on CBS at 8:00 p.m. EST (I think). Should be fun to see!
That's all I've got, except to thank you for stopping by today!!

Santa!!!! Thanks, sure made me smile.
ReplyDeleteWe are having Thanksgiving at my daughters' house and I am thankful that I dont have to cook.
ReplyDeleteSo many fun things to do with all your friends!
ReplyDeleteI love your red shoes! I used to have some more colorful shoes when my feet felt good and I didn't have to always wear "comfortable" things. Sigh.
Wow! Ten people! You might end up with more people than I will this year!
What a fun day you had! I'm sure they were blessed by your presence. It sounds like a great day and then lunch out too!
ReplyDeleteYour plan for the memorial sounds like a good one.
It looks like you had a wonderful weekend with the production, the crafts and Santa, and lunch with Shirley, Terri. The poinsettias look incredible. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see the play, it sounds fantastic and that is a fun photo with Santa at the craft fair!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers at your church are beautiful.
Have a fab week and happy Thanksgiving to you!
I love your Christmas shirt, Terri, and the photos with Santa. When it comes to Christmas, we're all kids at heart. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, dear Terri ❤️ Happy Thanksgiving to you from Montreal, Canada. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteYou got to meet Santa! That's cute. It's nice to hang out with friends, isn't it!? We did that after Church this week. We laughed and planned and just had a jolly time. I could attend gatherings like that all the time. What a blessing! 💗
ReplyDeleteIt was such a fun weekend! The kids were so happy you came to watch them in their plays and so was I! Saturday was also a fun day with you and Sandy at the craft show and was glad to get a picture with Santa! I'm glad you decided to do the memorial online. Can't wait for our next adventure!
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteI love how you and Levi's family made time to come support him. I don't think it occurred to me until many years later, but my parents always made it a point to come watch my recitals (etc.) ... even when I stunk. (lol)
ReplyDeleteSanta Claus looks like he's loving the attention of all you good girls!
Oh you do have such wonderful friends and neighbors! I am so happy for you! And I love that you will have 10 people for dinner on Thanksgiving. I will also have 10 here, maybe 11, all family this time. I usually invite some friends when we don't have a big family gathering, but it will be nice to just have my sister and her family with us this time. It's been several years since we did this. Thank you for your kind words regarding my sweet Sunshine. I am missing him so much, and so is Blackie, but I am happy for the time we had together. He really was such a sweet kitty. I'm just thankful he chose to die in his favorite spot where I knew where he was instead of going off somewhere and we would never know what happened to him. Okay, I need to move on. I hope your week is very special in every way. (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful friends and neighbors you have! And so much fun! I love the homeschool play! I hope your Thanksgiving is cozy and yummy!
ReplyDeleteGirl are your friends are close to you and have fun.
