Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for today's Tuesday 4!  You can join in HERE!

Tuesday 4

Memorials...

Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.

We celebrated Memorial Day on Monday... let's talk about memorials and memories.

1. Do you find memories comforting or troubling?  Most are comforting. Gotta let the troubling ones go...

2.  Have you set up a memorial for a loved one or friend?  I did Joe's memorial service, but not sure that is what this question is about.  I haven't set up a memorial for anyone.

3.  What songs bring back good memories for you?  In-A-Godda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly, 1968.  The first time I danced under strobe lights on a dance floor was to that song.  Still takes me right back there!!  (All 22 minutes of it!)

4.  Have you visited Civil War or Revolutionary War sites?  Yes, quite a few in and around Washington DC, including Gettysburg and Harper's Ferry.

My company will be here tomorrow!

Peace & hugs!
God is SO good!!

  1. What a fun memory! Crazy, but I don't ever recall having heard that song before. Because I'm basically uncoordinated and worry about people staring, I've never enjoyed dancing.

    I hope you're enjoying a sweet day!

  2. Dancing is one of my many activities I miss. Also making crafts. My arthritis is so pronounced in my right hand that holding a needle and/or scissors can really 'smart'.
I think Revolutionary War sites are my favs. We did a tour of them all around Georgia and South Carolina a couple of years ago. That was fun.
    Love & Blessings. xx

I agree with you on #1! It seems like I remember good times and put the bad times behind me. Loved your answers! Have a nice week!

  5. Gosh, I sure remember that song! I don't think we ever had any strobe lights at our dances back then, however. We were a bit more "conservative". LOL. But we still danced and had a great time. I am excited for you that your sisters and bil are coming! I know you are happy. I hope you can break away from work a little early or something to be able to spend more time with them. Just enjoy! What a treat to have your siblings together in one place. Take care and have fun.

  6. We have a Civil War memorial practically in our backyard - Kennesaw National Battle Field. It's one of many in the Atlanta area, including Stone Mountain, the Cyclorama and Pickins Mill. Lots of history!
    Enjoy your visitors, Terri!

  8. #3 what songs bring up good memories for me? Waaaaay too many to count. I can be pretty sentimental when it comes to music, including the Oldies, church music, classic, Big Band sounds, etc.

  9. We have visited so many Historical sites I can't remember them all but one of the favorites was Gettysburg because it is the last big family vacation we too when the kids were still all home. Our youngest son is a walking history book lol. He loves it! I remember going up an observation tower at Gettysburg and we took photos. Now the tower is gone

I have so many songs that bring up good memories, but the best are the silly ones my dad would make up lol.
