Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 461
1. May Day! May Day!...last time you shouted for help? Or maybe just asked? I had to ask for help when I had my colonoscopy a few weeks ago. I needed a ride to and from and my dear friend, Cindy, was my helper!
2. What's something you may do this month? My plans for this month are already pretty set in the calendar. I may have a couple of Saturdays to be lazy!
3. 'April showers bring May flowers... is this true where you live? Not really. Our spring starts in February, here in central Florida. What's blooming? Most of the blooming trees are done but folks who plant in planters have pretty posies blooming. What's your favorite springtime blossom? Lilacs, and we can't grow them here in Florida. I love lilacs.
4. What's something you learned at your mother's knee? To trust Jesus, but it didn't mean as much when I was younger as it does now when I look back. I still strive to be more like her.
5. Share a thought about motherhood. I am a stepmother, but my boys are my boys. I love them and consider them my own. I am proud of them and am blessed by their love. Love lines can be just as strong as bloodlines.
6. Insert your own random thought here. The spot on my left arm came back from the lab as basal cell carcinoma. I have to go back to my dermatologist next week to have more of it cut out. It's always something. I am glad for the healthcare we have in this country and appreciate my doctors... but it's always something.
#6, keeping in prayer. I had quite an adventure many years ago; a spot on my left arm had to be dug out -they had to dig so deep to the bone. That snowballed -resulted in finding the breast cancer - (NOT that I am saying that for you). ANYWAYS---keeping in prayer.

I love lilacs too and am hoping mine bloom this year as they did not last year. Praying all goes well with your procedure at the dermatologist.

ReplyDeleteUgh on that skin cancer diagnosis ... praying! I love see Spring blossoms -- in other people's yards. 'Never much cared to grow any of my own.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the skin cancer. I worry about that for me because I was a redhead and spent a lot of time in the sun growing up here in Florida. Had many bad sunburns in my day. But mostly I just get ugly "age spots" or seborrheic dermatitis bumps so far. But still something to keep an eye on. Hope they can get yours out without a lot of fuss. Praying. I love lilacs too, and miss seeing them. They were my mother's favorite flower too, but I've written about that a lot already. I wonder if there are lilacs in heaven? I hope so. Praying for you. And yes, you are a wonderful mother in every way. Your "sons" are truly blessed that you came into their lives and made a good home for them. I can tell they truly love you too. You are blessed.
