Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 448
1. It's National Popcorn Day-my favorite! Are you a fan? Yes! Sweet or salty? Yes! A good or great movie you've seen recently (at home or in a theater, either one)? I have been enchanted by Dick and Angela and their French Chateau! I'm on season 7 of Escape to the Chateau and hate thinking the series is going to end soon. I do have a movie list for when this series ends.
2. What's something you didn't realize was going to take so much of your time as an adult? Housework!
3. Your favorite yellow something? My kitchen curtains are yellow and I love the way they brighten the space!
4. Why do you write? I use this blog as my journal and enjoy looking back now and then to check in on the past. What was I doing... Who visited... Where did we go... What did I like...
5. Share a favorite memory associated with snow. I grew up in Ohio at the western end of Buckeye Lake and we had lots of snow! When the lake froze and was safe enough, we would ice skate as long as we were allowed to stay out in the cold. My BFF Elaine and I built a big snowman one year...
6. Insert your own random thought here. Procrastination is my middle name these days. I have things that need doin' but I can't seem to get myself into second gear. It is cold (for us, here in FL) and I just want to stay cozy in my recliner and forget about the touch-up painting I need to do, the curtains that need to be washed and rehung, the furniture that needs to be moved and cleaned behind and under... I did find someone who wants envelopes and 3-ring binders. Yay! Gone! I did move some of the furniture in the den and I like what I did (drives the cats crazy, though). One day at a time and it will eventually get done.

Grin...and here, we are literally moving. LOLOL---have a beautiful day friend.
ReplyDeleteThat is one big snowman, Terri! I don't have too many snowy winter memories, except for the year we lived in Massachusetts. I recall it snowed on Thanksgiving Day, and my brother and I were beside ourselves with joy.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Some days I am in the mood for extra things around the house...most days I'm not! lol We gave a lot of our business supplies to the Hospice headquarters here and they sure appreciated it. They liked the rubber bands best! lol Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI use my blog as a type of diary, too. It's amazing to see how one's life changes in a few short years.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in PA and we had LOTS of snow, too. xo Diana
You're not procrastinating, you are busy! Wow.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers and hope the remainder of your week is easy.
Blessings. xx
Busy lady! I'm trying to imagine what you've created in the den! We've little opportunity to do any rearranging in the den, but I'm itching to move things around in my bedroom. Just because.
ReplyDeleteI think yellow is a perfect color for a kitchen; such a happy color.
You are a busy lady, and I don't think you should ever feel bad about relaxing for a spell. My goodness...you seem to run circles around me. I'd love to see what you did in your den, but I don't think I know what it looked like before...I bet your yellow curtains in your kitchen are pretty and cheery. And I love that snowman picture! Happy Memories!!! Yes, my blog is a type of journal too. I hope I never lose access to it. Not sure what I'd do about that...I haven't really backed it up in a LONG time. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week. We are getting better day by day. Praise God.
ReplyDeleteRaised our kids in Circleville Ohio close
ReplyDeleteI am more south on the Gulf so haven’t used furnace yet
ReplyDeleteHi Terri! I can't believe that I have never heard of Escape to the Chateau. I'm putting it on my watch list. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteKatie, it is on Peacock network and I am loving it. Two Brits buy a run-down 160 year-old 45 room chateau and turn it into an event place as well as their family home with the two kids and Angela's parents. I have been loving it - quirky and so fun!
DeleteI want to watch Escape to the Chateau, just my type of show. I also want to get signed up for the Magnolia network.
ReplyDeleteI can be a procrastinator too, and then when I do things I wonder what took me so long!
Congrats on getting rid of some things. That is pretty hard to do sometimes, and is a burdensome chore. I don't shop for knick knack type stuff hardly at all anymore because that stuff really accumulates.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask . . .why does moving the furniture drive the cats crazy? Cats are such funny creatures. Our cat is a giant baby who loves to be held.
ReplyDeleteDoing anything major around here is out of the question for now! I have a good excuse for procrastinating.
ReplyDeleteIce skating! That was a daily occurrence at certain times of the year in my Jr. and Sr. high school years. We lived almost next door to a dam that froze over each winter. Lots of people skated there, especially on the weekends. We froze our toes regularly, then came home for hot chocolate and the painful thawing process.
Love popcorn!
