Cheers to all of us thieves!

I don't remember where
I found these questions

1. Something that made you cry this year?  Losing my husband to Covid.

2. Something you want to do again next year?  Enjoy time with my good friends, Elaine and Jim!  They will be here for a visit in February!

3. Talk about a new friend you made this year.  I have made quite a few new friends this year at my new job (not new... 6 months now).  Wonderful people!

4. How was your birthday this year?  This was the big 70 for me and I was feeling a bit blue about celebrating without Joe.  Friends and family rallied 'round and showered me with so much love, gifts, cards, calls... I am so very blessed.

5. Favorite book you read this year?  I am reading the 9th Outlander book right now and am enjoying getting reacquainted with the characters and meeting new ones.  "Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone" by Diana Gabaldon.

6. What’s a bad habit you picked up this year?  Watching too much TV and eating way too much junk food.

7. Post a picture from the beginning of the year.  Strawberry season here in Central Florida and Joe being his silly self!

8. Post a picture from the end of the year.  Christmas Eve Candlelight Service with my sister and dear friend...

9. A memorable meal this year?  My birthday dinner was the day before my birthday with two of my gal-friends at MoJo Federal. The Brunswick Stew was delicious!

10. What are you excited about for next year? Turning the page on grief and finding new BALANCE in my life. I will always miss Joe. He was my best friend who knew me better than anyone. He put up with me, had my back, loved me, always made me laugh, always made me feel valued, and I have been so lonely without him in my life. But, I am doing okay on my own and feel myself letting go of the sadness. I am excited to embrace God's plan for my life. He is in control.

11. What’s something you learned this year?  That I am strong. That I am loved by many. That my faith is stronger than ever, and that my trust is in God for whatever lies ahead for me.

12. What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now vs the start of the year?  Nothing new materially but the care of everything is now on me so I am learning a lot and doing my best to stay ahead of what is needed.

13. Favorite place you visited this year?  The only visiting I did was to see my daughter-in-law Darlene and a month later to visit my sister, Tammy. They both live in Georgia.

14. Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions?  I don't make resolutions but my word for 2022 is BALANCE.

15. Will you make New Year's Resolutions for 2022?  No, but I am seeking balance in my life. Body, mind, and spirit. Bring it on.

Peace & hugs!
Be blessed and trust that God is in control!

'Still in awe of your strength, your resolve. Have you given any thought of becoming a life coach to others experiencing loss?

  8. I believe you are a very well balanced person already, but I totally understand your thoughts and needs on this for the new year. You are an amazing person, and I am very much in awe of how well you have coped and managed this past year with all you've been through. Praying for God's peace and strength and joy and "balance" to carry you through 2022. (((hugs))) to you my friend.
