My thoughts: Well, that is quite the 'day dress' but I do like it. It's been a long, long time since my waist was that little! As for the shoes, I'll pick #3 just because they look the most comfortable. If I'm going to be doing housework in that day dress, give me the third pair! (giggle!) Even if I'm wearing it to the club for lunch with the girls, I'll still choose #3. What do you think?

Clothes from the 50s were so much prettier than what's available now. Love that dress. Can't wear any of the shoes anymore, though. I'd have to get a pair of flats with cushy souls or I'm done. *lol* I watch the old movies because I miss seeing clean looking people without tattoo's, fake lips, butts, etc. Our culture was so much more civilized then. *sigh* But, it is what it is.

While I do think people dress pretty shabby this day, the day dress of the 50s is a bit much. I think I am much more like your picture. I like the bow on #1 so that is my choice.

ReplyDeleteLove the dress but a bit over the top for a day dress. I'd choose #1. I don't think #2 is the right style for the dress and although #3 do look more comfortable I think #1 are more dressy. Love the colour.

ReplyDeleteI wonder what a woman would be doing in a "day dress" like this one? Certainly not cleaning house! It looks more like an evening dress to me. I like #1 shoes, but #3 looks so much more comfortable! Lovely dress...just can't imagine anyone wearing it for "day", unless it was a nice party.
