The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Joyce gives us the hodgepodge of questions and we answer... You can join in HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 389

From this Side of the Pond

1. What's one part of your everyday routine you'd be better off without?  Snacking after dinner.

2. October 5th is/was National Do Something Nice Day. So what did you/will you do?   That was Monday. I went out to lunch with my friend, Shirley.  It was as nice for me as I think it was for her.

3. What question do you hate to answer?  When the phone rings and someone I don't know wants to ask me questions about who I will vote for or any other number of things that are none of his/her business.

4. Do we have control over technology or does it have control over us? I don't think technology has control over me but it sure seems to control a lot of the younger generation.   In that same vein, have you watched The Social Dilemma (available on Netflix), and if so what did you think?  I have not watched The Social Dilemma.

5. What are three small things that make your day better?  Not sure how big or small these are but my days begin with morning prayer/devotions, coffee, and the comics in the newspaper.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  Instead of going to the farm (Joe's client) today, we are going tomorrow.  Looking forward to our small community group's zoom meeting tonight and hoping we will figure out a way to meet in person again soon.

Your visit is appreciated!
Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. I answered the same as you for question #1. I have to have a snack after dinner and boy does it show!

  2. Coffee and prayer always make my days better, Terri. Have a great time at the farm!

  3. Coffee, prayer, and Bible time is good for me too. We eat very early having been in the school teaching business, so Hubby has his sweets early in the evening. Does that make it ok? I however am at the salty snacker.
    Enjoy your day.

  5. We recently got rid of our morning paper. It had very little in it and with traveling to GA it was just something else to keep up with. However, Marvin misses the comics. He looks at them online but he says it is not the same. Dilbert is his favorite.

    1. Dilbert is funny but my favorite is always Pickles.

  6. I agree about your answer with the younger generation and technology. Recently we had a situation with a college classmate recording conversations and students' presentations on her phone. She thinks it is fine because our state is a one person consent state. Thankfully my daughter handled it very well. So many young people think it is all about their rights without considering others.
    Have a great week :)

  8. ZOOM is great but meeting in person is so much better. Hope that happens for all of us soon. GLOW still hasn't been together and I am sure missing the sistership it brings. Hope you enjoy your zoom meeting!!!!

  9. I almost put down snacking after supper! Gosh, I've not read the comics in years; we used to save the Sunday colorized ones and use for wrapping paper for the little ones. Hope yours is an enjoyable Zoom 'get-together'!

  10. Hello from Texas.
I used to always enjoy reading the comics. Family Circus was always a favorite.

    Happy Wednesday!

  11. I'm definitely with you on #3 -- I don't reply to pollsters calling on the phone. There is no way to know how legitimate they are and if they will use my answers in a way that favors what I really believe.

  12. Snacking after dinner - not good for me either.
I really dislike those telephone polls too.
    Have fun at the farm!

  13. Terri,

Snacking after dinner is a weakness for both of us but I'm trying to minimize what I eat. I won't answer the phone if I don't know the number. Poll workers, telemarketers, etc can talk to my vm instead. :D I agree with on technology's control. Great to read your responses. Have a good evening and come join CAAC's #WildWednesday, the linky party where just about anything goes! Today, I'm sharing another #RocktoberMusicFest song, a photo-art creation, and my responses to this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge. ;)

  14. Well, I'm pretty sure we could have all put, "snacking after dinner." I mean, who doesn't love an evening snack(s). :o)) Hope y'all are enjoying some fall like weather.

  15. Anymore, if I dont know the number coming through, I dont even answer anymore. All the spam calls are just frustrating
