Friday Fotos...

Before I get to the farm (Joe's client) photos, here are a few others...

Our neighbors/friends on moving day.  We heard, via FB, that they arrived in NC safely and the movers were there unloading everything.  Their low temp tomorrow will be 32 degrees. Brrrrrrrrr!!!

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was just the cutest cake for a bridal shower, perhaps?!

Most will remember when Joe's younger brother died earlier this year (during Covid not from it) and that sister-in-law Debbie has also been fighting cancer.  She sent me these two photos this week.  Debbie has the mask on (as does her son standing behind her to her left).  This is all but two of her kids, their spouses, and all but four of the grandkids. The event was the engagement of their youngest, Haley, and the last of the seven kids to get married.

Now, on to the farm photos.  No cattle going in or coming out this week...

If you read my post last Friday, you saw this photo of my buddy, Tex, the owners' herding dog.  He was so sweet and loved the treats I always had for him.  He decided 1,200 acres wasn't enough space for him and got out on Route 17 (TWO MILES from the house) where they found him dead, hit by a truck or car.  RIP Tex.  I was so sad when I saw his kennel empty and just knew the news was going to be bad.  He wasn't mine but I sure loved him.

Sorry to end on a sad note.  I just wanted to remember him in my blog.

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. Oh, so very sorry about Tex. That makes me really sad. You'd think he'd be safe with all of those 1200 acres to run and play freely. He must've snuck out when the gate was open somehow. That is so sad. But all your other pictures are wonderful. Congratulations to the newly engaged couple! So wonderful to see a family together for a happy occasion after so much sorrow. And I know you are missing your neighbors already. When do the new neighbors move in, and have you met them yet? Praying all goes well for both couples as they settle into their new homes. I know you & Joe would be the best neighbors to ever have!

  6. Well, I am so dang sad about that lovely dog. I just love pups as you well know. That is awful.

  7. What a lovely family picture....and such a happy occasion after all the sadness in their precious family. I am so sorry to hear about the farm dog. Those hard workers are hard to replace. My daddy had Australian shepherds and border collies to help with his cattle.

I am so sorry that the dog got hit and killed. It is sad to lose a pet no matter how it happens..but accidents are so awful. xo Diana

  9. Congratulations to your lovely niece! How nice for Debbie to get some GOOD news. :) So sad to learn about Tex's death; this is the 3rd such loss I've heard of in the last couple weeks. We animal lovers are always a bit heartbroken.

  11. You know, as I was looking at the photos of the animals, I thought that Terri has become friends with all of them! And then to read about Rex... so sad!
Love the photo of Joe's brothers family.
