Tuesday 4
Autumn Days
Welcome! This is Tuesday 4 in honor and memory of our friend Toni Taddeo.
This week's questions are from ideas given by Susan who owns Susan's Sayings.
Remember to visit Susan.
1. Are you decorating your home for fall? A little bit Thanksgiving? Nothing different. Show us some photos if you don't mind!
2. Are trees changing in your area yet? Nope. This is Florida! Do you mind showing a fall photo from your area?
2. Are trees changing in your area yet? Nope. This is Florida! Do you mind showing a fall photo from your area?
3. Do you like to use scents in your home? No!! Most candles give me headaches. What kind do you use and what scents do you enjoy in your home. Good things baking or on the stove!
4. Fall's weather usually turns a bit chilly. Sometimes we change how we eat by seasons. Can you share a nice recipe for a good fall meal with us? We eat more soup when it isn't so humid outside but I don't usually follow recipes for soups. I just wing it and they usually turn out pretty good.
Thanks for coming by!!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!
Hi Terri: I only decorate for Fall with a
ReplyDeleteswag on the front door and a centerpiece on
my dining room table.
Can't use any scents because of hubby's allergies.
I enjoyed your answers today.
Have a great Tuesday my friend.
I don't bake that much anymore but I do miss the smells.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Enjoyed your answers. In late November, there are a few trees in the neighborhood that change colors so you have to wait until Thanksgiving to look and feel like fall even this far north in Florida. I wish I could burn candles but they don't do well with me either for the same reason. I have bought one of those diffusers and use essential oils for a little scent and they don't seem to bother me. I need to go look for one that is already blended for fall because I mostly use lemon, lavender, and peppermint. When I was younger I couldn't even walk in a Kirkland's or any store like that where they have heavy scents I suppose from potpourri. I too will settle for baking scents.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Terri,
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer the scents of food to scented candles. Baked goods driving me nuts! I'm surprised at the number of Florida bloggers I cross paths with over the years. I wouldn't mind living in Florida for the winters but summer elsewhere if I had the money. lol I get the appeal of the warmer climate especially as I get older. Have a terrific Tuesday! ;)

It is looking like fall here in NoAla. We have had beautiful weather for a week now. We had our first pot of chili last week.
ReplyDeleteSticking my tongue out on your Florida photo, LOLOL. Have a great day friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteI love reading your answers, Terri. When I lived in FL I did miss the Fall leaf display but the fine weather made up for it! Have a great day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThose two photos just don't go together! And that was my problem with Florida, I guess. I couldn't believe how much I missed the changing seasons when I lived there.
ReplyDeleteOh, you and I are so much alike! Both get headaches from scented candles and such! And we would rather smell good stuff cooking/baking! Yep! That's me. And then you get to eat the stuff you smelled! LOL. Love your Florida Fall picture of the beach! That's a good one!!
ReplyDeletemmmm... smells from baking is the best anyways. Makes me HUNGRY when I smell the good smells from the oven
ReplyDeleteI don't care for scented candles either, Terri. My favorite smell is the aroma of homemade bread baking - nothing like it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I was hard pressed to come up with a Fall recipe also. For us the weather is generally nice so we do a lot of outdoor grilling in the fall, or soups which are non recipe items also.
ReplyDeleteI love the fall candles, but something I always enjoyed was a teakettle on the stove with cinnamon sticks and vanilla in it.
ReplyDeleteSince Caraleigh's vet insinuated scented candles may have contributed to her congestive heart failure, I've not burned one since. You're right -- baking aromas are best!
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations! Loved your answers! Enjoy the rest of the week!

I dont do much decorating any more with a big crew in the house now, it is hard to get it all together. I do however love sweet smells in the house and keep a candle burning lots of the time.
ReplyDeleteI love scents and often have a candle burning. It makes me happy. :) I'm sorry it gives you headaches.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry too that candles give you headaches. I have two candle warmers that I usually have on.
ReplyDeleteMy house looks like Fall all year long with my oranges and reds and greens. So I do just a few extra things. Which reminds me - last year I got a beautiful new tablecloth for Fall. I need to get it out NOW!!
