The Tuesday 4...

Tuesday 4

Reading Part 2

Welcome to Tuesday 4! Thank you for your participation in keeping the meme alive in remembrance of Toni Taddeo.

Let's continue with Reading this week, shall we?

  1. Kindle or hardcover/paperback?  Kindle.
  2. Have you read a series like Harry Potter and if so which series and what did you think of the stories? Can you recommend them and why?  I read all of the Harry Potter books and could certainly recommend them. I read those with our granddaughter, Lauren.  With grandson Tristan, I read 16 of the Warriors series which is all about feral cats but has good lessons about faith and community, and teamwork.  I highly recommend them too!  As most of my readers know, I read all of the Outlander books (8) and loved them.  They are a bit graphic with sex and violence, especially in the first book, but the history is amazing and the characters so well developed.
  3. Do you have a library, bookshelves, etc in your home?  Nope. Not anymore. Just my Kindle. Well, I have quite a few art books and they share a shelf in the guest room with photos and nic-nacs.
  4. Is there a book you just really disliked?  Yes.  Why did you dislike it?  It is Scarlett, the supposed sequel to Gone With The Wind.  It is TERRIBLE.

Thanks for your visit today!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. I got rid of all my paper books. I have a few Kindle books. All of the books I read on my Kindle are from the library.
    Have a great day!

  2. Thanks for the book series reviews. I don't read books as much as I should, but I do a lot of reading of heavy-thought articles on the internet.

  3. I do love to read and REALLY need to go the way of the Kindle, but I just like to hold the book. I have started going to the library rather than buying so many.

  4. I read my books on my IPAD using the Kindle app and it's great, isn't it? I still love my books on the shelves but I don't buy many any more. I check ebooks out from the library too. Enjoy your week!

  5. ...and I appreciate you, Terri. I like to hold a book --there is just something about a smell of a book, smiles.

  6. Oh, I had forgotten about Scarlett and the follow up to To kill a mockingbird. (it was so bad I even forgot it's name)

  7. I don't think I ever read Scarlett. I think I may have checked it out once, but I don't remember reading it. I don't think sequels to such popular stories/books/movies can ever be as good as the original.

  8. Thanks for the head's up on Scarlett. I was actually considering downloading it a few weeks ago. I'm all about my Kindle!

  9. I did enjoy reading the first book in the Outlander series, Terri, and I will be reading more of them in the near future. I have to admit that I'm a sucker for a book I can actually hold, although I do have quite a few volumes on Kindle. Any kind of reading is good!
    Blessings!

  13. I have Scarlett somewhere, but haven't read it. I also have Rhett Butler's People and I haven't read it, either. You're curbing my desire to pick them up. LOL
