Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for continuing the Tuesday 4!  Join in right HERE!

Tuesday 4

Reading...

Welcome to Tuesday 4 in memory of its founder, our friend Toni Taddeo...

  1. How do you relax in the evening after dinner?  We watch TV most evenings.
  2. Do you read in bed?  Yes.  What kind of books do you read?  Joe and I do our Bible reading from the Community Bible Reading study we get from our church.  After that, I usually read a chapter or two of my book until I get sleepy.
  3. Do you have a list of books you look forward to reading?  I don't have a list but my books are all on my Kindle so I just pick something from there.
  4. What is the best book you've ever read and why?  I can't even begin to answer this question.  I have read lots of great books.

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. You have the cutest avatar pictures/graphics. I don't know how you do that, but they are really good! You are so smart!! I have never read in bed. I do all my reading in my recliner, usually next to hubby in his recliner while he watches TV. Once I go to bed my eyes go shut and I am gone...usually...but not always. Some nights I toss and turn for a long while before dropping off. But I find that I am better off not to mix reading and/or TV with bedtime. As far as the best book I've ever read, I wouldn't know how to answer that either. There are so many and I can't remember the titles anymore anyway. The Bible would have to be my answer! I hope you and Joe have a wonderful day today! Can't wait to hear what you two are doing next. Always something enjoyable!

    1. Pam, go to bitmoji.com and see how easy those little avatar graphics are to do. I am not smart at all. It's easy!

  2. A 'book reader' would have trouble choosing a favorite. I dont read in bed - mostly on the porch or in my recliner. Hope you have a good Tuesday.

  4. Picking a favorite book is rather like picking a favorite child.lol

  5. Picking a favorite book at this age would be very hard. I might could pick a list of favorite authors. One of those would be Fannie Flagg. Another oldie would be Lewis Grizzard. I don't think I could ever pick a favorite. I have a stack of books waiting on me to read. I love to read history so I can always find something to enjoy along with my Bible studies.

  9. Relax after supper???? I'm pretty much on the go until I drop. But that's probably because it takes me longer to get fired up in the morning than it used to.

That's a cute graphic of the child in the green chair.

  10. Good morning Terri! I have a stack of books and a Kindle with probably too many books on it. And now I'm trying to decide between getting Audible or Kindle Unlimited. Maybe. It would be nice to listen to books occasionally, but Audible seems really pricey! Anyway, we're expecting 1-4" of snow here today. I hope you have a cheerier forecast there. :-))

    1. SNOW?! You can have that stuff!! I haven't gotten Audible because I would lose interest and my mind would start to wander if I was listening to a book. I need background "noise" to block out while I read or study, etc., so I would just block it out. I tried listening to a book on a CD once and I just can't do it. Stay warm up there!

    1. Us too. We are watching Heartland and Wentworth on Netflix... two shows so far apart it is almost silly.

  13. We watch our show almost immediately after dinner. Then we usually do something independently until bedtime.

  14. I've not read a book in bed in years! Used to be me and a flashlight under the covers; now I'm too exhausted to do more than put my glasses in a safe place and turn out the light. :)

  16. So curious- what is a Community Bible?

    1. We have a CBR - Community Bible Reading journal (spiral bound) that gives us two years of daily Bible readings from both the Old & New Testaments. There is room in it to journal, write our thoughts, etc. It keeps us on track with our reading.
