My Weekend Recap on Monday...

Another weekend has flown by!  Ours wasn't too busy but it still flew by.

On Thursday, we had Bible study.  A few people were off on a tour so there was only one table of us, but it was still interesting and uplifting.  This week, there is another tour and Joe and I will be touring the Circle B Bar Preserve with a group, so will miss Bible Study.

On Friday, we went to the farm (Joe's client).  They couldn't have us on Wednesday because their house was tented and fumigated for termites.  It was interesting for me because the Ferrier was there to give the horses all a pedicure.  The woman who boards a couple of horses there was helping and so was her daughter.

Friday night, Joe and I went to the Clubhouse to play Nickels and there were two tables of us!! Lots of the northerners are back.  We had a jovial group and had lots of fun!!

Saturday was laundry day.  Helen and Cheryl communicated that they were fine and didn't need us to run any errands for them.  Cheryl's friends have been taking her places, I guess. I take her to a doctor appointment this morning and another friend is taking her to see her surgeon tomorrow.  Hoping he gives her the okay to drive.  Helen's blood pressure has been up and down, but never so high that we feel she needs the ER again.

Yesterday (Sunday) Joe and I took our time over breakfast and coffee with the Sunday paper.  I put on a pot of chili to eat during the day (and we did).  After his Eagles were defeated we decided to take a little ride downtown. I took some photos to share...

Lake Morton is home to our protected waterfowl and

the First United Methodist Church, where there is a 

pumpkin patch every year at this time.

 

Lake Morton gets lots of traffic and most people

bring food for the birds.

This home faces Lake Morton and is home to a local

attorney and his family.  So pretty.

This is a United Methodist Church in a historic building

and nestled in a charming historic community between

Lakes Morton and Hollingsworth.

Lake Hollingsworth is known as 'the walking lake'.  If you

walk or run all the way around, it is just under three miles

or 5k.  There are walkers and runners around the lake at

all times of each day and even into the nights.

Back at our house, I laughingly tell people we have a 'water view'

from our house.  This was taken out of the kitchen window,

looking toward a very classy community with a fountain and

a "lake" which is really a retention pond.  But it IS our back view! LOL

And this was our view last night from our carport. 

The weather was beautiful. No humidity and low 80s.

There was a soft breeze and Joe and I both enjoyed sitting

out there for an hour or so.  Sharon popped out and visited

with us for awhile and several people walked or rode by with a wave.
