Accidentally in Love
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks, we do "random questions," so to speak. We encourage you to visit other participants' posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love to answer the questions; however, here are today's questions!
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
1) In the video for this song, a young man dances alone in the kitchen while making breakfast for his lady love. When no one's looking, do you often bust a move? Not anymore, but before arthritis claimed my joints, I loved to dance, even alone!!
2) "Accidentally in Love" was featured in the animated movie Shrek 2. In this video, a plushie from the movie is shown on their bed. Do you have any plush toys in your bedroom? No. I do have a couple of stuffed animals, but they are Christmas decorations and live in a box most of the year.
3) The lyrics liken falling in love to strawberry ice cream that he just can't resist. What sweet treat would hit the spot right now? I found Dove's double caramel ice cream bars at Publix, and they are decadent and delicious! I have one a day, usually early evening.
4) He sings about lightning. Astraphobia is the fear of thunderstorms. Have you ever suffered from astraphobia? No. Actually, a good thunderstorm is kind of exciting, especially these days when we need rain so badly.
5) This song is about falling in love when he wasn't looking for it. Has this ever happened to you? Or have you usually found romance while actively seeking a partner (dating sites, blind dates, etc.)? Joe and I met unexpectedly on a Monday evening when we were both in a place we would not normally have been. It was totally meant to be. He is my one and only true love. Neither of us was seeking it.
6) This week's artists, The Counting Crows, got their start in San Francisco. A famous quote, often attributed to Mark Twain, says, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." How has the summer weather been where you are? Hot and humid, as always in Florida.
7) In 2004, when this song was popular, Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook. Have you checked Facebook today? Yes. I check FB several times a day.
8) Also in 2004, we lost President Ronald Reagan. Before entering politics, he had a decades-long career in Hollywood and appeared in 53 films. Have you ever seen a Ronald Reagan movie? I have seen a couple of his movies. Bedtime for Bonzo (years ago) and a WWII movie whose name I can't remember.
9) Random question: Describe your favorite pajamas. Sleep shorts and a matching tank. I have a drawer full of PJs, but I wash and wear my blue shorts set every week. They are just comfortable. Faded and soft... like me! LOL

Gee, is it hot and humid in Florida? 😀
ReplyDeleteHa to faded and soft - that is good!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I ever heard this song before...
I never did either!! Half of the time, I haven't heard the songs they use here!
DeleteI love an Almond Joy ice cream cone for a special treat! I wear yoga shorts and a t-shirt most of the time when I am home!
ReplyDeleteAhh! I always dance in the kitchen either by myself or with my girls. Those double caramel ice cream bars sound good. I am not a fan of thunderstorms and I hide away from them. I did not know Ronald Reagan was an actor, what a fun fact to know.
ReplyDeleteThe only dancing I do is a solo act -- when no-one's looking. I agree about a good thunderstorm, provided it's not accompanied by tornado warnings.
ReplyDeleteI've no doubt your and Joe's meeting was a God thing. I never tire of hearing that story!
I love the story of how you and Joe met. Your pajamas sound so cozy! Loved your answers! Have a great weekend.

Like you, I check FB several times a day. Seems I hear more from family and friends that way than via emails. That's okay with me.
ReplyDeleteDear Terri, I do check my blog and my emails several times a day. I closed my Facebook account in April 2025, just over a year ago. I have only my blog now and am very happy about this. I did have Facebook for decades but I decided to close the account to focus on my blog, and it has worked out very well for me.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your responses, dear friend. Thank you so much for sharing!
Good old Mr. Arthristis changes things a lot - lol.
ReplyDeleteWhen I met my husband I wasn't looking for love - just a friend but he was looking for love. He swept me off my feet!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't looking to meet anyone when I met Tim, either. We've been together for 42 years now, but when I think of great couples I always think of you and Joe.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I believe that Joe and you were meant to find one another, Terri. Yours is such a sweet love story. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteDear Terri, I also wanted to mention that I love the illustrations you put on your blog. This time with you sleeping on a cloud? (pillow?) It is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't take credit. I use Bitmoji.com. It's lots of fun!
DeleteAh, thanks for telling me. You are going to love my new blog post. I know that you love cats 🐈 😻 🐈⬛️
Delete'Faded and soft, like me' made me laugh! But I also have a few pairs of shorts and tank top pajama sets. They are very comfortable! Stuffed animals: I have a complete set of small Winnie the Pooh characters, plus three very large ones, and a Thumper, but they all stay in the closet until the grandkids come over.
