March 2nd: Monday Musings

Not only is it Monday already, but it's also March!! Good golly, time just flies.

I'm sure enjoying having my dear friends here for a visit!  We really haven't done much of anything, but we are having a good time.

They arrived on Sunday evening, last.  We chilled on Monday. I had the neighbors in for pizza on Tuesday evening.  There were 12 of us, and it was a good time.  Susan and Sandy both brought sweets for dessert.  On Wednesday and Thursday, Jim and Elaine helped me clean out Joe's shed, and we also made a Cat-patio for Vinny and Casper.  I'll get some pictures of it for the Friday Focus.  Thursday night, we went to Fish City Grill with the Mas Verde group.  We three had the crab legs and shrimp boil.  Yum!

On Saturday, we went to the Farmers' Market in downtown Lakeland.  It's fun and entertaining, and Bella was the center of attention.  Everyone wanted to pet her, tell her how beautiful she is, and find out what her pedigree is (Brittany Spaniel).

We went to church yesterday.  Elaine was our chef for dinner.  She made bowtie pasta with salmon, asparagus, and alfredo sauce.  SO GOOD!!  We went to Culver's later for ice cream and a pupcup for Bella.  Also good.

Today, we are starting out with a hike at Circle B Bar Reserve. We will get our steps in there and will walk with the girls tomorrow.

Thanks for checking in today!

Peace and Hugs!

Verse 4
Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit's call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

  2. OH, I didn't realize that Bella is a Brittany Spaniel! We used to have one when we lived up north in Ohio and then Michigan. Her name was "Brittany"...so original! We loved her so much, but when we had to move back south we were going to be moving to a rental home for a while and things were a bit up in the air about our future, so we ended up giving Brittany to a couple who just fell in love with her (and she them). It broke our hearts and we vowed never to get a pet again...it was just too painful to "say good bye", and now here we are with Blackie...who is at this very moment curled up in "Daddy's" lap and either sleeping or playing games with daddy...I've become "persona non grata" (or however you say it). LOL. I enjoyed your post, and you said you hadn't been doing much, but it sure sounds like a LOT to me! All good and fun stuff! I am happy for you to have such good friends who are more like family (although sometimes good friends can be a lot more fun! LOL). Have a great day and enjoy your hike. Give Bella a pat on the head for me, and Blackie sends his love to Vinnie and Casper. I doubt they will ever meet in person, but they can still be friends here! LOL.
