Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 643
2. Where in your life are you a lion? Where are you a lamb? Gosh, I don't know if I am a lion in any part of my life. Maybe when it comes to family and friends and pets needing help. I tend to be more low-key these days. Mellowing in my old age. LOL
3. The Hodgepodge lands on National Pound Cake Day. Do you like pound cake? It's okay. If so, do you have a favorite flavor? Plain vanilla. Let's play this or that-
- pound cake or layer cake? layer
- pound cake or cheesecake? cheesecake
- pound cake or angel food cake? pound cake
- pound cake or brownie? brownie
- pound cake or pie? depends on the kind of pie!! LOL
4. What makes you feel childlike wonder right now? That I am so very blessed in the time of my life. I am so thankful.
5. What's one thing you need to add to your wardrobe to get ready for spring? If you're in the southern hemisphere, then answer for fall? I rarely wear a dress these days, but I do like to wear one on Easter Sunday. I ordered three. One has come, and the other two should be here in a few days. I like the first one and will most likely like the two that are coming. I'll keep y'all posted!!
6. Insert your own random thought here. I am loving having my dear friends here last week and this week. It has been low-key and comfortable. No rush, no anxiety. I have a bunch of photos to share on Friday!! Stay tuned!

We tend to have a lot of rain here in February and I comfort myself with the reminder that it's not snow. We did have some snow this year which was unusual. I don't mind rain once the pollen starts because it helps bring it down more quickly. Glad you're enjoying all your company!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your pound cake assessment and likes of the other cakes/pie. I'll always choose pie over most any kind of cake. I'm so happy you are having good weather and enjoying your friends while they are here. What a blessing to have such good friends who can come and stay a while like that. You are blessed indeed. Oh, I wonder where you ordered your dresses from. I do like to wear a dress occasionally, usually more so in the spring and summer months than in the fall and winter. I just can't ever find any that I like anymore that fit and that are affordable. I hope you'll share some pictures of yours!! It's been a while since I got a new Easter dress. I think I need to think about that. Have a lovely day! Don't forget to spring ahead this weekend!!
ReplyDeleteOur March came in kind of lion like with wind and cold temps. So I'm looking forward to the lamb weather. And - we can't wait to enjoy Florida and you! We are blessed indeed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you share your dresses. I'd like to get one too, but they can be hard to find.
I do like our weather being back to Florida expectations! lol I stayed the same size for decades so I have lots of everything, including dresses, but the weight gain from being sick in 9/24 is stubbornly making my clothes feel not quite right! I should toss the old and start over again! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI hardly wear dresses anymore, either, Terri, although I do have several I've kept that are for occasions that might call for one. Looking forward to seeing the ones you purchased. Continue to have fun with Elaine and Jim!
ReplyDeleteA lion? Rarely, save those times my hunger turns 'hangry.'
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll model those dresses for us? I still enjoy the feel of 'dressing', but haven't seen anything remotely attractive lately. I'm looking forward to your Friday pictures!
Your temperatures now are what we have over here in the middle of the summer. lol It sounds like you have a busy month planned.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with Mari! I know you will. Are you going to keep all 3 dresses? I love how you are grateful for your life.
ReplyDeleteProbable, Sandie. I got rid of all but one dress because they were too big (or totally out of style). Major clean out in my closet a few weeks ago!!
DeleteHi dear Terri, I love ❤️ your green 💚 background and cat illustration.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the cutest backgrounds on your blog!! I love the green for St. Patrick's day!
ReplyDeleteI love your orange cat picture!
