Good golly, July went by so fast!! Happy August, everyone!
This week has been one of catching up for me. I'm sure you can relate to getting home from vacation and trying to get everything done and get life back to normal - whatever your normal is. I'm finally there, and I enjoyed dinner out with my Mas Verde Dinner Group friends last night. We went to the new Mexican restaurant. I usually get a taco salad, but got a burrito instead. It wasn't as good as the taco salad, so I won't make that mistake next time! There were our usual seven people. They all wanted to hear about my time up north and got me caught up on local news. It was an enjoyable evening, and Larry and Sharon picked me up, so I didn't have to drive.
I really don't have much to write about. It was good to get my photos posted this week, and thanks to those who muddled through my blogs about the wonderful time I had visiting Mari and Bob, and Elaine and Jim. I loved every minute I was there.
I took neighbor/friend Susan out to lunch yesterday, to thank her for getting my mail, feeding the cats for four of the days I was gone, and for keeping an eye on the house. We enjoyed lunch at the Metro Diner. I will take Mary Jane out next week and need to get that scheduled with her.
I'm happy to not have anything on my calendar until Sunday. I'm a greeter on the first Sunday of each month, and next Tuesday, when I get my hair trimmed. Perhaps I'll get a few projects done around the house!! No excuses!

We love Metro Diner; we go the Villages to eat there. Wishing you a beautiful day my friend. ☺
ReplyDeleteTravel always knocks me off schedule for a while but you will get back to the swing of things soon! The lunch times sound great--enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSettling back into a routine after vacation does feel good, Terri, I agree. I've so enjoyed your posts about your travels though. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHappy August Terri!! Hey, I'm a Mary Jane too, I might have to tag along to lunch. lol I know, it's too far, but it sounds good anyway. lol
ReplyDeleteIn the past, I used to feel such a letdown after vacation. How wonderful you've good friends who want to hear about your experiences -- and join you around the dinner table!
ReplyDeleteTho' travel's out of the question, I do love seeing so many blank squares on my August calendar. Every day's a gift!
Vacations are great but I always find it so hard to get back to normal afterwards. It sounds like a lovely evening with your friends and how kind to take Susan out for lunch to say thank you for looking after things while you were away. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAfter a vacation, I need a vacation to recover!
ReplyDeleteYour dinner group sounds like a great group of people. How fun to have friends like that. Glad you had a wonderful time on your trip! Welcome home.
