August 8 - Friday Focus...

It's been a nice week for me.  Kinda slow, but with things to do.

I got my hair trimmed on Tuesday, I had lunch with Cheryl on Wednesday, dinner last night with Sandy and Bob (the Mas Verde Thursday Dinner Group folks are all sick, except the three of us).  It was fun talking with them.  It's hard to really "visit" when there are more of us sitting at a long table.  Judy has covid, and we hope Tim doesn't get it.  I haven't heard of anyone local having covid in months and months.  We will never be done with it, I guess.

Amazon delivered my blinds.  I've been putting them up a couple at a time and washing windows as I go.  I got new curtains for the living room, so those went up, too.  I am so happy that the brackets for the old blinds also fit the new ones!  It has sure made my job easier!  I snapped a couple of pictures.  The new blinds are cordless, so they just lift up and pull down.  They have changed the way the rooms feel, and I like it.

Living room above, kitchen below.

Today, I am taking Mary Jane out to lunch as a thanks for watching the cats while I was gone.  We are going to the Metro Diner - fast becoming a favorite place to dine. The weekend is free, except for church on Sunday.  I will get the rest of the blinds up, windows washed, and some other cleaning done.

That's it.  Happy weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Peace and Hugs!

Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

  3. The blinds look nice. Good for you for putting them up, and you are wise to do a little at a time so it's not overwhelming.
    Have a nice, calm weekend.

  5. Cordless? I'm so behind the times, but now I want some of my own. Your room's looking so sharp; doesn't it feel good!

  8. I like your new window treatments. You have a brand-new home going there. Did I tell you Andy and Shaye both had covid two weeks ago - Shaye went to the hospital because she is pregnant. None of the hospital workers had a mask on anymore either. I guess it is here to stay.

  9. Oh, how wonderful the new blinds fit the old brackets! That's my problem here...I couldn't find any to fit the old brackets and redoing all of those would be really difficult. I'll keep looking. YOu've inspired me! Those look great! Love the curtains too!! Sounds like you've had a nice week. What a blessing to have so many friends!! Please take care, and I pray that Covid stays away from you and the rest of your friends.
