All day felt like Saturday yesterday, and today feels like Sunday!! It's been a while since I had two extra days off in a row! Feels pretty good. The event at the clubhouse yesterday was very nice. I took a few photos and swiped a few from the HOA Facebook page. I enjoyed catching up with folks I hadn't seen in a while, and I met a new couple and enjoyed talking with them.
Our HOA President, Richard, welcomed everyone and
offered the blessing.
There was plenty of food. The volunteers in our kitchen did a great job!
My Mas Verde dinner friends Judy, Tim, Larry, and Sharon.
I sat with them for a bit to chat.
blue shirt, taller than everyone and carrying my food to the table.
New friends, Dwayne and JoAnn. They are from Cedarville, Ohio, so we had
lots of Ohio things to talk about. Nice people! I sat beside JoAnn.
And here is the rest of my table mates...
Bill and Dee, and Martha and Joe. Martha and Joe Nemechek are the parents of
race car celebrity, Joe Nemechek. I don't follow racing but they are super nice folks.
It was too hot to even be out in the pool, but there were
two or three folks there when I left.
Two cakes were identical until they were cut.
One was white and one was chocolate.
Today I am having lunch with Mary Jane, friend and my cat-sitter. I may walk through Belks to check out the sale racks. Have to start thinking about what to wear to my nephew's wedding at the end of September. I have also been invited to Megan's wedding shower at the end of this month. Her family lives on the east side of Orlando. Some may remember I was invited and shared Thanksgiving with them last year.
Peace and Hugs!
God bless America!

Looks like a nice day. I love how your group there does this kind of things. Those are all good neighbors.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy today!
PS - we watched The Patriot yesterday, after you wrote about it, I thought it was a good one to see again.
It is hard to watch but I love how regular folks helped win the war.
DeleteOH!!!! We have met Joe! Nice fellow, back when my husband was doing the racing ministry. ANYWAYS, looks like a nice day, Terri. One day we shall get down there. smiles
ReplyDeleteYour neighborhood seems so nice. I'm glad you're in a safe area with good folks. Thanks for sharing and hope the remainder of your days off are just as pleasant. Blessings. 💙
ReplyDeleteI would love to be in a community like that! Very nice for you! Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful group of friends and neighbors, Terri! You are blessed to live in such a community, but I know I don't have to tell you that. Enjoy your long weekend!
ReplyDeleteI understand about feeling like this is a different day of the week than it really is. I've felt the same way, have to remind myself this is Friday and not Saturday. Your holiday celebration looks great: good people and good food!
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks like you had a very nice dinner with so many sweet people! Happy for you to have this extra time off and pleasant things to do! I hope you find something good on sale! I haven't been shopping at a real store in so long. We don't have much to choose from up here...Beall's Outlet and Marshall's, but I don't really count them as being "real stores" like JC Penney's or Belks, or even Beall's. And I really don't like to shop for a dress online. I need to try things on! I'm not that perfect size anymore that I can always buy and know it will fit. It rarely does anymore, so it takes some finagling to figure things out. Have a good time tomorrow! Happy 4th of July weekend. P.s.. I missed your fashion post yesterday...just saying...LOL.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so festive and yummy! I like that Grace was said, too.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to let us know if there were any smoking deals to be had. I've not been retailing in a long time.
Myra, the racks were stuffed and there were sales all over. I didn't see one dress that I would even try on. I've never been a shopper and much prefer shopping online.
DeleteWe are in rotating neighborhood supper clubs and I always love that either the host/hostess or a participant always says grace. It looks like y'all had fun!!
