Roses
Here is another of Tuesday 4 invented by Toni Taddeo and kept alive in her memory. White June is the month of roses, they do bloom all summer long and well past September in many places.
1. What is your favorite color of roses? They are all beautiful Do you have a favorite kind of rose? I have no idea about different kinds of roses.
2. Do you ever buy flowers for your home? No. I have no place to put flowers or plants in my house where the cats can't get to them. Flowery scents give me headaches, though sniffing a rose doesn't usually bother me.
3. Are there any roses in your yard or neighborhood? Not in my yard and I've never paid attention to any growing in someone's yard. If not what kind of things grow around you? My neighbors have nice beds in front of their homes. I don't do plants or flowers. My front bed has metal flowers and two flamingos. I don't have a green thumb but I appreciate the beauty others can create.
4. What do you see when you look out your front door? My carport, the street, neighbors' homes. How about out your kitchen window or back door? The wall that surrounds our 55+ community. My house is on the south perimeter.

Perfect song for today!
ReplyDeleteI love pale pink roses, they have such an old fashioned feel to them.
When we had cats we could never have cut flowers in the house either. :)
The words to this hymn are perfect for the rose theme of this blog post! Your flamingos look very nice outside!
ReplyDeleteI do love pink roses of any kind. We have flowers in the house from time to time, usually for special occasions. It's too shady in our yard to plant any type of summer flowers.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Terri!
That song is one of my favorite hymns especially when sung by Anne Murray. What a voice. She's 79 now! Wow, where did the time go?!
ReplyDeleteThose are nice decorations next to your home.
Lots of colors fill me with joy. I think if I had to pick one for roses it might be yellow. It's the color of friendship too.
Have a great day! 💙
I like your flamingos.
ReplyDeleteI like your flamingos and flowers! They give such pretty color! Loved your answers! Have a great day. ♥

Love flamingos
ReplyDeleteI love your solution to not having a green thumb!! Cute flamingos and flowers!!
ReplyDeleteNo green thumb here; in fact, I don't care for roses at all. Like you, I appreciate beauty that OTHERS create!
ReplyDeleteThis hymn is one of my favorites!
You have a lovely home and you don't need flowers in your yard, you have nice neighbors instead! That's a real bonus, and they are the real flowers in your bouquet! I love your flamingoes and little metal flowers too! My flower garden is such a pain to maintain in the heat so it looks terrible. I should probably just plant metal flowers too and be done with it! I think that's a great idea!! Have a lovely week my friend in Florida! (one of my friends in Florida! )
ReplyDeleteThose flamingoes are wonderful! Quite a few of my plants were installed by seagull droppings. Not romantic at all but it is what it is. Thank you so much for always joining in.
