Outside my window, it is getting ready to rain again. We have rain every evening these days for 20-30 minutes.
I'm enjoying a new detective show on Britbox called Grace. Roy Grace is the detective. It's pretty good and there are four seasons.
I'm grateful for my family and friends, always.
I'm loving Kroger groceries delivered! Twice this month! Got a delivery yesterday!
In the kitchen I am keeping my pantry organized after the four-hour cleaning a week ago! So far, so good.
A thought... I've been window/computer shopping for dresses lately, thinking about what to wear to my nephew's wedding in September. I really hate wearing a dress so my thoughts are leaning toward a nice outfit with pants. Palazzos seem to be making a comeback... any advice?

I'm having similar thoughts on a wedding we have coming up. I'm not a dress person either.
Thank you for the slide tip! I love dresses but if you're not comfortable and can find pants that match their dress code request then I think that's absolutely fine. There are so many really cute ones out now. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's an early evening wedding and this family is casual. The MOG is not wearing formal and I doubt the MOB is either.
DeleteThe pants sound like a really good idea! If they are not being formal, then I think you'd be fine in pants. Thanks for the tip on Grace...just told hubby and he's interested too. As soon as we finish up something, hopefully, we'll remember to add this.

DeleteWe see the Krogers trucks here and wonder if we would like getting deliveries. I always loved that store when I lived in Texas. I love pretty dresses but when I try them on...they don't fit right! lol Must be the clothes...couldn't be me! HA!
ReplyDeleteMy Junior Choir, when I was in about the 4th grade, memorized this song, Trust and Obey, to sing in front of the church. To this day (as recently as yesterday) I sing the words to myself. The words mean more to me all the time. How important and helpful it is to teach our children scripture songs so they can benefit from them for the rest of their lives!!!
ReplyDeleteI wore dressy pants to a wedding in June; I was surprised that the invite said semi-formal casual and several took the casual to mean shorts and "muscle" shirts. I say wear whatever you are comfortable in.
ReplyDeleteThe kitty takes the cake! Yes, Terri, wear something that you can be comfortable in. When my daughter got married, I wore high heels with a gown (not too fancy) and brought a pair of flats for the reception so I could have an option to dance, and I did just that!

Oh, thanks for the recommend on BritBox. I've been searching for something "new" to watch. We're almost through the "Sweeney" episodes from the 70s. As long as there's no cursing I'm up for something I haven't watched yet.

Great idea, using those 'currently' prompts! While I sort of missing dressing to the nines, there's little call for that these days. I say, go with something comfortable, you can accessorize up or down, according to whim. Besides, everyone will be looking at the bride, lol.
